Hi i have got implanon, and i also had no periods at all until i started this diet. its just because the oestrogen levels are lower in your body than normal so it tells your body to have a period. its nothing to worry about, just a big pain in the arse!!!

I can go weeks without one, then have 2 in a month, then go ages again, its very random.

Well i may have the answer....
I've had implanon in since november last year. The minute it was in my periods stopped. 2 weeks into LT i came on lightly for a weekend. I was devastated at having my period again :p
2 weeks after that the same happened.
Im a nurse so me and my pharmacist decided to try to figure it out.
    We came up with this:
Oestrogen is stored in fat cells. We have been shedding fat fastly during LT therefore 'lossening up' all this stored Oestrogen. It has to be 'let out' some way...hence the miniature periods.
Once those 2 brief periods had happened in those 4-5 weeks it has gone back to no periods again as the weight loss slowed down to 3lbs ish a week.
Hope this makes sense and helps a bit.

i've not got implanon, but got the dreaded gloop a week before i started LT - it usually hangs around for 7-10 days being painful but only f**ked off a couple of days ago...... never known it last so long but at least now i know it's the oestrogen levels and not anything serious (my Nana died from cervical cancer so i panic a bit every now and again)
