Hi

Wondering if anyone can help- is home made Gnocchi synned or free? This thread on here says that Home made fresh pasta (not using any fat) is free: http://www.minimins.com/syn-values/311785-fresh-pasta.html

So in theory home made gnocchi should be too? I have read that flour is synned but all dried pasta is made using flour- and is free!? I'm confused...

Gnocchi Ingredients: Mashed potatoes, flour, egg, S&P.

TIA

Shopped bought fresh pasta has syns as it usually has oil in it.
If you make the gnocci yourself you must count all ingredients including the flour and that will be the syns count - it shouldn't be too high

Thanks :)

I will count the flour to be on the safe side but still don't understand the logic as dried pasta is free but also contains flour??
