So, in addition re-starting dukan I have recently had a brace fitted. I am not allowed any fizzy drinks with the brace and because of the flouride mouthwash I use i need to avoid tea/coffee otherwise they stain very quickly. This pretty much has left me with water or peppermint tea! Water I dont mind but the herbal teas are getting a bit dull as they mostly taste of hot water!

Are there any other hot drinks such as options/highlights that are tolerated that I can have to break the mundane circle of water/hot water. I have tried it with cocoa but have to load it up with far too much sweetner which is not good for my teeth!

This one was posted on another site and isn't bad but remember the cocoa is a tolerated item.

    Creamy Hot Chocolate

Take one heaped teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and place into a mug. Add one tablespoon of skimmed milk powder to the mug. Mix in a small amount of skimmed milk, just enough to create a smooth paste. Once you have thouroughly mixed add skimmed milk to the rest of the mug and whisk with a fork. Place in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes and then sweeten with aspartame to your own preference.

The addition of the skimmed milk powder makes an extra creamy and rich hot chocolate.

Thank you, trying to avoid cocoa though as I have to load it up with sweetener to stomach it which isn't great for my braces. Was just hoping options/highlights would be acceptable!

Think I've read that there is too much sugar in them. Have you tried fruit tea? I have a strawberry and mango one which is OK x

Might give that a try, I usually have peppermint tea which is getting a little dull! Shall try the strawberry and mango tea, is that okay without sweetener?

I have never used sweetener in this but I have not got a particularly sweet tooth. Just a thought, can your teeth tolerate things like vanilla or orange essence as this may alleviate the need for sweetener XX
