    Hi Guys :wave_cry:

New to this forum, stumbled on it by chance and am impressed.

However, need some advice on how to make a really hot curry - hubby and kids have take away on Saturday nights (he usually goes for a Vindaloo!) . I feel so deprived and the smell of it drives me crazy.

So, would really like to know if anyone knows of a really hot recipie - so poor ol me isn't deprived anymore. And, if poss one that's freezable.

Any ideas would be great - thanks.

It depends on what kind of curry you like.

I quite often do a spinach & lentil one, but I've done chicken, lamb...
It can be whatever you like.

Find a non-SW curry recipe that you like, then get rid of all the oil - fry off your veg, meat etc with fry light. Bulk it out with chopped tomatoes or passata, rather than anything creamy.

I tend to adjust my own level of heat: I don't usually use curry powder, but a combination of garlic, ginger & chillies. Obviously you can combine these to your own taste.

Experiment! That's what makes it fun!

I also love a hot curry. The trick to make it hot is not the curry powder, it's the chilli's and cayenne pepper.

    I make one with
    lean diced beef
    Tinned tomatoes
    Curry powder
    Soy Sauce
    Dried chilli flakes
    Cayenne pepper
    Fenu Greek

May need some cornflour depending how thick you like it in which case you need to syn it.

I don't have exact measurements as I just throw mine together and go by taste.

I'd get the flavour right first then add the chilli flakes & cayenne pepper to make it hot!

Here's a pic if mine (btw the thing in the middle is a boiled egg!)
