how many carbs in Vanilla Essence?

does anyone know? I have found a figure for vanilla extract but not being very competent around the kitchen, I'm not sure if it's the same thing.

The reason I ask is because I just lovvvvve vanilla custard and my brain suddenly had a wave .... so I put a teeny weeny drop of vanilla essence in a bit of single cream and hey presto, if I shut my eyes, well it was almost like CUSTARD.:happy096:

Now, I'm sure it would be too good to be true if it were that simple but ohhhhh if only:bliss:

I'm not sure about the vanilla essence, but for the small amount you would use, I can't imagine it would be much.

If you like custard, why not make some yourself. Just use a normal custard recipe, but replace the milk with cream (or a cream/ water mixture) and the sugar with splenda. Yummy!
