Yes i am, it's your thread that helped me pick slimming world, and you and someone else was talking about this forum and i need all the help i can get lol

That's how i feel im scoffing load's mostly fruit tho but i cant believe i'm going to lose anything

Also lost 4.5lbs in first week. I have had 3 green days this week and I don't think I have lost..... Feel quite heavy and bloated. Back to EE from tomorrow.

I lost 6lbs the first week I started. And I eat loads. So have fun and keep it up. If you're not sure about what you're eating, post it here. People are so helpful at giving constructive comments to help.

It differs so much from person to person and is based on so many factors so you cant really compare - it also depends on what your diet was like pre-SW. If you ate prettily healthily to start with then you will not see the huge loss of someone whose diet was really bad

And to be honest it doesnt really matter what you lose the first week only what you have lost by the week you get to target - and by then you wont give two figs what you lost in week one!

Funnily enough I lost more the week I got to target than I did the first week or at any time during my weight loss journey

By the way - you say you are only using a few syns. That is not following the plan properly and will not help you get bigger losses - a lot of people find it actually slow them down ;)

I lost 7lb the first week, but everyone is different. Some people lose slower than others, but at the end of the day we are all making those first steps to losing weight so any loss is a positive step.

Look at it as a journey, some people get in their cars, drive on the motorway at 70mph and reach their destination quickly. Others drive at a steady 40mph and take the scenic route and stop along the way to admire the view. But ultimately we all take that same journey and we all end up at the same place, but some will get there quicker than others.

it was my first weigh in this morning (i do the plan at home) and i have lost 5lbs. i have done 1 green day and 6 EE.

I used to eat load's of choc's! and lot's of takeaway's I don't really know what healthy food to eat yet so haven't been using that many sin's as i'm trying to be careful i don't know what to use them on, they said btween 5 and 15 syns a day ive had 6 so should i aim for 15? or can i use them in one go like in a roast dinner or should i have a milky way everyday im just trying to get to grips with the meal's which is good cos it takes my mind off eating bad thing's i like it tho i don't feel like i'm depriving myself because i know i can have what i want pretty much

No need to use many syns in a roast dinner most of it would be free if you do it SW friendly, except for stuffing and yorkshire puds!

I lost 6lbs on my first week!

You can use your syns on anything you want. Chocolate, crisps, alcohol, fruit juice, pretty much anything you want, as long as it stays within the daily limit. Some people save them up, but I prefer to use mine daily unless I have a special occasion coming up. I try to have the full 15, because then later down the line, if the losses slow down, you can lower the number of syns, whereas if you start with a small amount you have less things to try and kickstart the weight loss again.

In my first week we had 2 barbecues and a curry night. I lost 7.5 lbs. I think the important thing is not to think of it as a diet or think you have to cut down on food. Eat loads of healthy stuff and you will lose weight. Cut down on food and your metabolism will slow down.

it differs quite a bit from person to person and each time I have 're started' SW. I am hoping to get to target this time and stay there.

I have lost 4 & 5lb's in my first week. A few years ago I lost 7.5lb's in my first week but I had really been scoffing loads of naughties beforehand - and was at my heaviest of about 13.12.

This time I am finding the plan much more manageable and I lost 5.5lb's in my first week which I was well chuffed with.

I mainly do red with lots of veggies and one green day per week - I like the extra HEB

HTH in some way - just go for it and good luck.

Hi on my first week of SW, I ate more food than I had ever eaten so was really really surprised to find i had lost 7 1/2lbs ... so please dont worry as long as u are following the plan ... u will loose weight xxx Good luck xxx

I lost 7.5 lbs in my first week - but it was the 1st week in January last year, and I had an absolute pig-out the day before my 1st meeting, so am sure some of that 7.5 lbs was just mince pies! ;-)

Everyone is different - I even know one lady who had a small gain in her 1st week but then a big loss in her 2nd, so it's best to try not to compare yourself to others.
