How to loose weight from your legs..

Hi Guys,

Has anyone got any ideas how best to loose weight from your legs??

Im finding it really hard to, i've lost nearly 4 stone now and can fit into size 14 jeans but they have to be 'boot cut' or 'boyfriend' style cause i need the extra leg room! also, i was hoping by now i would be able to fit into normal knee high boots from a normal shop and not have to go to specialist shops like evans to get the extra wide leg ones which cost an absolute fortune. :sigh:

I do allot of walking and some jogging but my calves are still pretty big... anyone any ideas??

I know its hard to target any one area of your body to loose weight from but any suggestions would be great...

Sometimes our legs can bulk up because we have built the muscle up in that area by exercising. I find the best form of exercise for my legs is swimming. I only go once or twice a week, i'm a rubbish swimmer and i only do on average 10 lengths when i go ( i know what your thinking - whats the point of going if you only do 10 lengths?) unfortunately i damaged my leg in a car crash so it just doesn't want to move when i swim and i also hold my breath as i have a fear of drowning. I'm weird i know lol even though i only go once a week and do 10 lengths, i always feel more energetic after and it is definitely making a difference in my legs. :)

leg weights at the gym:)

i'd be afraid of using the leg weights at the gym too cause i dont want to build up muscle on my legs, i want to reduce the size of them.. need to burn fat rather then tone up first.. thanks tho :)

Swimming is the best form of exercise for me too at the moment and I do about 10-20 length once a week cos I'm rubbish at it and because it's my legs I have trouble with. In the water I don't feel the pain :)

I've been going about a month and I can see a difference in my inner thighs- they're less flabby and even though my legs look wobbly still, there is definite muscle to be felt :) Hopefully I won't get bulky legs, I seem to get muscle too easily even when it is covered with fat.

im doing zumba and leg extensions and squats at night. I was a dancer for years when young and have really big muscly legs. Am two sizes bigger on bottom than top! So thought if i go back to some sort of dance excerise it might get the tone back into them and hopefully reduce the inches
