How to roughly work out syns ??

Hi starting to do sw from home as had a baby 6 weeks ago and class would be a nightmare . is there a way of roughly working out syns of things . for example trying to work out syns for an aldi pasta sauce cucina tom and garlic per 1/4 of a jar has 57 cals fat 1.6 (0.6 saturated) and 7 sugar? Thank you xx

For things which don't have a free food allowance you can use the rough 1 syn per 20 calories rule. Pasta sauces have no free food allowance so that would be 3 syns for the quarter jar.
