I thought I'd be really good and plan a load of housework to do Sat & Sunday to keep me occupied. If I went into town I'd only end up spending money on cr*p for the girls, so I figured this would be better for all. Well, I ended up picking both Saturday AND Sunday!! I'm so pi**ed off with myself- this is the second weekend I've done it so obviously the weekends at home are my weak point!!:mad::mad:
I need to do stuff away from the house that doesn't involve spending money- not easy with Irish weather!!! I had some unsalted nuts, and some bits of M&S choc chip cookies that the girls left lying around. I was even thinking at one stage "Oh, it's only a few nuts, they won't take me out of ketosis so I'll be okay"- but it's NOT okay- I'm fooling myself. I've done so well this first two weeks, I need to keep focused as I'm re-feeding next week for a family wedding, then straight back on TFR the next day, so I want to do this as well as I can until then. I'm so pi**ed off with myself. :cry:I'm going off to print off my 'before' pics so I can carry them round with me (like I said I'd do last week but didn't )to help keep me motivated.
Please feel free to butt-kick now....I need it!:(

Look, the picking thing is an awful trap to fall into. especially as you'll probably still lose weight. believe me, I've done it. It leads to here -I am heavier than Ive ever been and have struggled for weeks to get into this diet again. Stop it now. Just stop it now -because every crumb weakens your resolve and YOU WILL end up blowing it -eventually you will F**K this diet up if you dont knock it on the head right now.

You have chosen to do this diet, so respect your own decision and do it right. What has happened is gone, put it behind you, and get on with it.

The good thing is, you know that the weekends are a weakness, the same with me, so find something to occupy yourself more successfully. Why are the weekends harder than every other day? is it because it's so engrained in your psyche that weekends are treat days? Because if that's so, treat yourself to some healthy weight loss -you'll enjoy it more and for longer!!

Come on, you CAN do this, so get it into girl woman. We're all in it together!

Can I also add -the 'I hate myself's -have to stop. I've done that, I've said that, I have certainly and will certainly do so again, felt it. But the point of this diet is to not feel that way surely. You need a better self image and if losing weight is going to help you achieve that then dont stand in your own way. i get it, I really do, but you know why you chose to do this diet -dont let a few weeks loss convince you that you can hold on to old eating habits and still learn to like yourself. It doesn't work like that. Sort yourself out girl.

Thanks- thats exactly what I need!! The weekends are fine if I'm away from the house (i.e. 'stray' food)- I can go hours without even thinking of food- thats also why I know I CAN do this diet.
If I'm there pottering around- theres always snacks/food around for my toddlers. I think I'll have to start feeding them stuff I hate to avoid it!! I did so well last week after admitting picking their leftovers- every evening I made them smaller dinners than usual (to avoid the risk of leftovers!) and I scraped their plates into the dogs bowl immediately after. If they were hungry I gave them a sandwich or yoghurt to eat so I had nothing sitting there tempting me!

Thats just a temporary thing- my self-esteem is actually pretty okay for an 'obese' person! LOL! I just meant I hate myself for being so weak!;)

    Hi,

I know exactly what you mean about the weekends, it is the most difficult time, but don't let a few slip ups hold you back, you will still be loosing weight and if you compare that with eating 'normally' you will still be having loads less calories, just stick to it 100% this week and you will feel better.........easier said then done I know but just think about the summer!

Good good. Well then the only way to avoid feeling so angry at yourself is to not cave again.

Yoghurts, dairylea dunkers, cereal bars, fruit and those wee red boxes of raisins!! That's what I stock up on to throw at the kids when I'm trying not to starve them while I starve. ;)

Yep i agree - the 'i hate myselfs' have to stop. You are not going to suceed if you carry on thinking you hate yourself.

Ok so you 'failed' again. Weekends are bad days for most people.

You just need to get your head in gear and get on with it. As soon as there is food lying around pick it up and either put it back in the cupboard/fride or bin it. Dont let it lie around tempting you.

Also, drink LOTS of water!!!! ALWAYS have a bottle in your hand :D xx

LOL! Summergurl, I knew it wouldn't be long before you 'kicked my ass!'
I ty to have a pint glass of water filled in the kitchen so I can gulp it if I feel the urge! It's so cold these days though, it's not as tempting as a big mug of tea, but then I have to wait for the kettle to boil... ah well!...

Weekends are the worst! I had my nieces yesterday and they left a tube of jelly tots behind them. I actually took one out and had it in my hand about to pop it in my mouth. I stood there reasoning with myself. "Its only ONE jelly tot........One is all it takes to do the damage.....":devilangel:

I mean is this what my life has come to?? Me hiding in the kitchen fighting the urge of the jelly tots! I actually put it back in the tube and then took it out again 10 mins later. This happened about 5 times before I gave the tube to my son and asked him to hide them!!!!!

I found them in the coal bucket this morning! By accident!

So I didn't do it but I came close!

So I truly sympathise. I have no magic solution as I am as bad. I think I will keep busy but then I have no energy on this diet so I do nothing, get bored and then get mischievious! :copon:

My son thinks its hilarious and glady removes temptations...

PMSL!! Jelly tots were avoided by the skin of my teeth yesterday too- but only because the packet hadn't been opened!

Thanks everyone!! I managed 10 3/4pints of water yesterday (including black tea) and I managed to avoid temptation. The kids didn't have to be fed dinner (were fed elsewhere before you all call social services on me! LOL!) so that helped a lot. Everytime I felt the urge to nibble I drank water (hence the 10 3/4pints! PMSL!) but it seems to have worked.

The only thing is, I use ketostix every morning- just for my own curiousity, and this last two mornings they've been negative. Could I have knocked myself totally out of ketosis by nibbling? If I have...well, it'll be a lesson to me as its totally my own fault! I know they're not 100%, but its made me more determined to get back on the wagon 100%!

PS- My tummy's grumbling this morning, so I think I really did knock myself out of ketosis. Damn, damn, damn..... (off to kick my own ass!....)
