I know how you feel. I was supposed to be making a fresh start this week and have done nothing but sabotage myself all week. I have to admit, I've been pretty busy with DS's birthday on Tuesday, Halloween on Wednesday plus DS has had tonsilitis all week but it's still no excuse.

Is it TOTM? Or are the kids still off school on half term? It could be that something has knocked you out of your routine. The only advice I can give is, draw a line under it now and start afresh tomorrow. If you are going to overeat, make sure it's something you like and that you enjoy it - oh and DON'T feel guilty, try to understand the reasons why it's happened and be better prepared for the next time.

unfortunatly, no TOTM was last week & the kids are back at school now. This has been going on for days now, the more i eat the more depressed i feel & then vow "enough" until the next time & i just can't stop myself.
You will note from what i said i ate, there was no "proper meal"
Perhapse i have to just accept i will allways be a fat person.

Cheryl,

I hope you're feeling better today. It could be that your routine was all knocked off last week and you're just finding it difficult to get back into the swing of things.

Did you not have any proper meals because the other stuff was there? Or did you not have time to sit and eat? Rembember, if you're counting points on WW you can still have all that stuff, so long as you count it.

I don't think that you have to accept that you are always going to be a fat person. But I do believe that until you accept yourself as you are now, you're less likely to be able to change yourself.

It sounds really silly, but try writing a list of your good points. - A good friend/mother, nice eyes? that kind of thing, sometimes we get caught up in a spiral of negativity and when your mind is saying "I can't " don't and shouldn't you get trapped. Try and change your outlook to I will/ want to / choose to a. be slim
b. be fitter
c. make healtheir food choices - you'll find that you'll have a more positive outlook on your weightloss.

Remember the reasons that you started this journey too - was it to fit into better/cheaper clothes? Was it so you'd be able to chase after the kids all day? Set them a better example? Feel better about yourself?

I hope some of this can help you. Losing weight is a difficult process and temptation frequently gets in our way. Don't beat yourself up about it. Learn from this and move on.

Good luck for the rest of the week.

(been having a bad week myself, so I'm just off to give myself a good talking to !).

Cheryl - you're human, hun - like the rest of us - and you've been given some excellent advice already so I just want to send you some (((HUGS))) and to let you know that you're not alone!

You are not destined to be a fat person - none of us are - all we can do is take one day at a time and do the best we can right now!

Hope you're feeling stronger and happier today, luv!

i didn't cook myself a proper meal cos i was too full on the rest of the junk , but it didn't then stop me eating half a pack of fruit pastills & 2 slices of toast & jam

i started this to not be fat at 40, but since i turned 40 thats when it has gone down hill

Aw Cheryl.:hug99:

I know, that cycle where you eat more than you feel you should so you start hating yourself. I would then think, well I hate myself already so I might as well carry on. It just goes on and on doesn’t it.

So today give yourself a holiday from it. Enjoy the freedom of today. Make a decision today that you will not give yourself a mental flogging.

Thinking "I can't do it" is self-fulfilled prophecy. Is this the future you want? Of course not.

We have the ability to create our own successes. It sometimes feels easier to give in to the negative thing…almost natural at times L

Learning to look for the positive and saying “I can do this” can be hard. It takes discipline….but discipline means freedom.

Enjoy today because today you are going to look after yourself, because you know how fab that feels;)

Don't give up!

Hello there!

Well, I think most people have cravings and cheat sometimes!

I cheated this week eating a packet of crisps, 400gr of almonds and macademia nuts and jollof rice with chicken and fish. I got a bit depressed, but I DID NOT feel guilty for the rice/chicken/fish even though I know rice is full of carbs, because it's a nice homemade cooked meal.

However I DO feel guilty about the crisps because a) they didn't feel me up, b) they are totally unhealthy c) and also did not give me any pleasure of cooking! I also felt a bit guilty about the amount of nuts I ate.

My advice is that just forget about yesterday and just concentrate from what you eat now on. Just put a target that for the next for days you will try and stick on the diet. Also, if you would like to eat something go for a nice healthy meal option that fills you up, rather than any junk food which doesn't fill you up.:)

Take one step at a time. :)

I lost approx. 11stones by myself a few years ago by using my own VLCD and looooads of exercise in a bit less than 5 months and since then I decided that sometimes you need to give yourself a break, but try and eat something really nice and filling. I now do CD which is also a nice diet which saves me time and money but as I said I got tempted last week and only lost 2lbs but that's ok.

Don't give up! Try again! Fail again! Fail better! :D

We learn from our previous experiences.

Don't give up!

Just do something and try not thinking you are on a diet!
Go out! Walk a lot! Go to a museum, cinema and try and get a good night's sleep. It helps!

;-);)

you will do it! you can do it!

Cheryl youre in no way meant to be fat forever *HUGS*

You can totally do this we know you can! It really sounds corny but try taking one day at a time, smaller goals are always easier than big ones.

I know from previous experience when I slipped up that was it, the beginning of the end and it was a disaster! Focus on today, and if you do eat some junk... point it :)

You can absolutely do this *HUGS*

I can't really add much more than what has already been said.

(((Hugs))) to you my darling and you know I'm here for you if you want to offload. As long as you don't mind me snuffling and coughing down your ear!

Take today as it comes and don't beat yourself up (which I know you are more than likely to do).

Love ya xxx

oh Sarah, you know me soooooooooooo well LOL
yep i am the queen of beating up & after the last few days i am black, blue, purple & all other bruise colours !!!!
so far today is going ok, though saying that we are going to a fireworks party tonight, as long as i can stick to JP & chilli & stear away from the burgers & sausages, i should be ok. I'll drive so alcohol won't weaken my resolve. I have 11.5 points left

thanks everyone for your support.
when you're down its so hard to think you can get back on track & so it just goes on & on.Yesterday i just felt continually drawn to the goodies box. Unfortunatly what had happened is that as well as me buying the weeks quota for the week, Ash had also bought all the leftovers back from his "lada fishing day", for 4 of them they had massively overbought, we had sarnies, crisps, bicuits, sausage rolls etc, all calling me
Today is a new day & i feel a bit more in control

Don't know about you, but when I get like this, it's hard to even want to get back on track. Nothing matters at the time....just what to eat next...and even that doesn't matter too much. Whatever my hand reaches into.

Glad today is going well

Hi Cheryl. Just wanted to send you some good vibes. Think these dark nights and cold weather make it harder. Hope you get back on track soon. We all fall off the wagon, get up, dust yourself off and climb right back on - you can do it !! xx
