Hey all
I went for my session last night and am now officially a LighterLifer :) I am feeling really excited and very inspired by you all.
Quick question - we were told we could mix coffee with our vanilla milshake, but would you advise this to be cold or hot?

Welcome, and congrats on your first step towards your new life! :)

Yes, you can mix coffee with any flavour, hot or cold, smoth or blended with ice. You can get as creative as the diet allows. You can also use the water flavourings to change the flavour of a shake - you can mix half and half, making a Strawberry-Banana, or a Chocolate-Raspberry shake, etc. You can blend and pour over ice - or you can blend with ice making a smoothie/frappucino type drink.

Right now, my ultimate favourite has been Chocolate, 3 hermaseetas (yes yes - THREE of them - its the only way I can make the chocolate actually taste like chocolate!) blended with strong brewed coffee (heaping teaspoon of instant if I have no fresh brewed) and a small handful of ice - just enough to make it slushy but not frozen. ITS SO GOOD!!!! Taste just like a Starbucks Mocha Frappucino! :D

You will find a thread in the sticky's with other recipe ideas, but I would suggest personally - keep it pretty simple for the first week or two while you get your head around it all.
Just remember - you only need to do this one time, and if you keep your nose down and remain 100% your time will not only be faster - but easier! It is possible!

Here is a little phrase many of us like and relate to that might be good to just tuck away somewhere in your memory to help you when times get tough:

If you always do, what you always did, you will always get what you always got.

So - the time for big permanent change is now. Dive in, get your feet wet, and come out a winner!

Hello and Welcome, Good Luck and congratulations for taking the plunge, just take it day by day or hour by hour if need be, you will be so astounded by your first loss that it will motivate you on to next week, you won't look back and, if you are like me, you will be inspired by everyones posts.
I would agree with BL re keeping it quite simple for the first week at least. Personally, I have ALL my packs hot, hot banana in the morning (my absolute favourite) hot vanilla, strawberry etc, I don't really like many of the soups (I wish they did tomato I could live on that)!

hi and welcome on board - you will quickly realise its the best decision you have ever made.
i use one of my vanilla packs throughout the day in my coffee - add a quarter of the pack to about half a cup of water and froth with a blender. add this to half a cup of coffee and its delicious. one pack makes 4 cups throughout the day and it is truly delicious.

Thats a good idea Hooley :)

I wish the shakes could be blended, and then held through the day - then you could just mix it in advance and have it like a little pitcher of milk for your coffees! I won;t be able to do that at work, but I think I am going to follow suit at weekends and home time!

I am sure the people in the office are wondering whats going on with the number of trips I have made to the bathroom! Our counsellor advised to "pop-in" on Sunday so will report back! :)
