Ibuprofen or paracetamol?

LollyPop

One Day at a Time
As per usual my body is telling me to give up by giving me sore throat/cold symptoms! It's been so long since I've done CD properly I've forgotten whether it matters what painkillers I take? Can a CDC or anyone else for that matter help me! Bless my CDC she's on holiday and I don't want to bother her!

Thanks

I've been on Cambridge over 3 months & whenever i get period pains i take iburprofen (taken 3 today so far) & never affects my loss :)

I started CD today and yesterday I was hit with a lousy cough and cold - I am glad I found this post as I was also wondering the same thing, I have been taking Nurofen for my sore throat...

What about cough mixture? Does that affect the diet?

I dont think cough mixture is allowed, but i'm not entirely sure..

Spoke to my CDC - she confirmed that cough mixture is a definite no no!! Full of sugar!! Ah well!! *cough cough* it'll pass!! :)

Thought so haha!! x

Just a note - although it appears many of you haven't had issues - my CDC said today to avoid ibuprofen as it shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach (ha ha love it - I have an empty stomach! - first time for everything LOL)! Paracetamol should be fine - as an aside I've been taking ibuprofen since Saturday with no effects though - so just a warning really - looks like everyone is different.

I'll make sure ive got paracetamol next month then for my monthlys! haha :)

ibuprofen is very bad for the stomach if not taken after 'food, Paracetamol is fine.

I take co-codamol 3 times a day for back pain / sciatica
