Im back - and half a stone heavier???!!!

Gah!! I went away on holiday and did everything exactly the same as the last 2 times, on both of which I actually *lost* weight (which I thought was bizarre at the time) - but this time I got back and found I'd put 5 lb *ON*. Not happy. So we had a takeaway curry for tea as we had no food in :p and by the next morning I had put EIGHT pounds on! :wave_cry:

Bah there's no logic to it :( I did it all the same, self-catering holiday so planned all my meals in advance according to the plan, just letting myself free on the vino as it was a holiday, but I drank exactly the same amount of as last time as I ordered the same amount from Tesco.

Totally no logic to it. It is my TOTM but I wouldnt give that half a stone worth :sigh:

Oh well, this morning we're back down to having only out three pounds on so it looks like its mostly fluid. WI isnt til Weds so maybe by then Ill look like Ive been an angel again and might only be a pound or two over what I was before I left :D

Ready to go again now, gonna start planning this week's menu and doing my shop :flirt2:

It could easily be half a stone worth of fluid retention (or near enough) especially as you may not have, maybe, drank as much water as you did on previous holidays? i bet water drinking wasn't something you kept a check on! :p Add to that a salt laden curry when you got back and I can see how it will add up.

Also, as you weighed less at the start of this holiday compared to previous holidays you basal metabolic rate will have changed meaning you need less calories 'just to survive' so it takes fewer to go over and ,anyway, it's complicate but that could have affected it!

Get back on't wagon. Drink lots of water and I bet it will come of quick! :)

It's not just you..I just spent 5 days away for the big family party and I appear to have gained half a stone in those 5 days..I did eat a lot..but half a stone! I'm gutted! still, back to work I go! xx

It's probably mostly water weight, I went away for 5 days weighed in at another group 9lb heavier and 4 days later at my normal group had lost 5lb. There's no way I had enough of a calorie deficit over 4 days big enough to lose 5lb so there must have been some fluid retention involved!

If you stick to plan from now until WI I think you'll be pleasantly surprised :)

From eight pounds on on Sunday to two pounds off on Wednesday, totally INSANE! I have been really good the last 3 days and kept to less than 5 syns a day but Im still over the moon that it was obviously mostly water


AND I have got just below the big 2-4, Im 23. 13 now so happy about that, so my next target is to get my 4 stone award which is only 4.5 pounds away, then my next Club 10 which is to be 22st 5. Then long term maybe to be 6 stone off by Xmas.

Wow that is a fantastic. You are a real inspiration not to get disheartened if we don't like what we see on those weighing scales and to keep going. xx

Yeah, Im sure scales lie just to keep us on our toes :D

Actually the first time I typed it in it said something like "You have put on 12 pounds, is this correct" and I just half DIED
- I'd forgotten I was no longer in the 24's and had put 24. 13 instead of 23. 13
