Ideally i have 3-4 stone to loose.
I have been dieting since January with no luck, it comes off then it goes back on, i have no will power
I weigh 13st 10lb:(. I never tell anyone my weight but maybe writing it down and sharing it will help me.
Looking forward to getting to know you guys and finding support from you all to help me along

Hi Fiona

I have just joined here today too and am also on the sw plan. Have been doing sw since jan and have lost 1st 3.5lb so far but would still like to lose at least the same again if I can by Aug as its my birthday. My problem is that I seem to be able to be good all week then lose the plot at weekends - too many temptations!!!! - got to try and be more focused I guess. Lets hope being on here we can all help and support each other - good luck x

Well done for writing it down and facing up to it.

I think it would help if you try and look at this as a lifestyle change. Although I understand that it is tempting to see dieting as a quick fix for a particular event, I know when I have done this in the past I have felt dissapointed with not reaching my unrealistic targets and always put on what I lost after 'falling off the wagon'.

Why not look at this differently this time and take things at a normal pace, without pressurising yourself and just accept that this is a long-term change which will improve your life and health and takes changes which cannot be done instantly. Slow and steady is more likely to achieve lasting results

Good luck

Yes, here is def the best support, I've been a member here for ages & there are loads of good tips & advice & friendly people. I joined SW online yesterday because I thought that reading the diet properly from them would be good but was disappointed. There is so much more advice & encouragement here. I thought that maybe spending the money might be a bigger incentive to keep to diet but def prefer minimims site.
good luck with your weight loss

I agree that the support here is terrific!
Is there any reason why you joined online rather than going to a local group?
I have never been an online member and can't understand why anyone would want to unless there is no group in your are.
IMO face to face support in groups can't be matched by any online group, apart from minimins, of course :)...I, however still need the actual people contact..not that you all aren't people, but I am sure you know what I mean!

Hi
I joined online because I keep putting off doing anything & my partner would take the mick if I said I was going to a group, so I thought that online would be better than doing nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far since Tues I have been filling in my diary & have gymmed it once & done hot yoga yesterday. So far so good, I stay at my sons on Weds & normally have a few drinks & slap up meal but because of filling in diary had no booze & reasonably healthy food.
Fiona, this is a great support system.
Looking forward to reading about your progress.
