hello,

well done on starting SW. you'll have that stone and a half off before you know it.

i've just joined this site today too although i have been doing ww for ages. I also really struggle with willpower too so have done really badly at it. i've joined with the hope that people will be able to offer me the support i badly need. So maybe we could support each other?

Good luck and you'll pick up the hang of how forums work in no time. xx

Mmm Iv tried WW , lost a stone and put it back on in the space of 6months, the carbs are sooo high in points I was running over all the time, I just got fed up of feeling bad.I can't get my head round having a bowl of pasta or a baked spud and still losing weight, we' ll se !!

I tried SW years ago but always found it harder to think of meals as i often don't have the energy to cook stuff from fresh which is best for that plan. weight watchers is more suited to convenience food which is me all over really thanks to my hectic lifestyle.

i managed to loose 2 1/2 stone on SW years ago (although i have put it all back on and more since) so the plan does work. And if i can loose that much then anyone can. Good luck. You can do it. x

Ha ha i have issues with a big appetite too. i really need to make my portion sizes smaller :-s

i work part time too as i suffer from ME/CFS.

I have been struggling with WW to be honest for ages although i think it's more down to my lack of willpower than the actual diet if that makes sense. Also due to having young kids and a hectic life i find it hard to think about a diet to stay on track. Do you have any kids? x

I work part time too, so I have time to cook and I do cook healthily. (well I like to think so anyway lol) I do a S/W tortilla every Sunday, for lunches at work and hubbs to nibble on. Plus I love the free pasta n' sauce and Savoury rice. All are dead quick, easy...... and free. I did wonder about subscribing on-line to either WW or SW, but both are so expensive from outside England. So please help me too.:))))

Yeh I have a 21 month old little girl, she loves pasta and rice so she's doing sw with mummy lol,
I think ur right it is all down to willpower and support. There is no miracle diet!!
How much are you trying to loose chick x

I think the online & meetings are expensive aswell, I can't get past the mentality of paying someone to tell me I'm greedy lol lol, I'm only joking the support is really useful. I think we'll all be able to support each other x

Well done getting your daughter doing the SW plan too. At least she'll grow up knowing how to eat healthily from a young age.

I am hoping to loose at least 7 stone 3 pounds. How about you? x

I hope so. I am starting my diet properly tomorrow, as it is the first shift back at work, following 3 days off, so I am hoping it'll be easier. Ha ha!! I don't want to loose a boatload of weight, just about the stone I put on whilst trying to stop smoking... don't suppose my age helps neither....(terrific excuse, when you MAY be perimenopausal !!!) Good luck with yours and I shall look out for you and Rhi and your progresses. It is my first time on a forum too x

I will do and thank you. Popping out now, for my last drop of wine. Ho hummmm!! It's got to be done....and actually, although I have lost weight before, with both SW and WW I am looking forward to the challenge. We shall see how long it lasts tho Lol xx

Iv got about a stone and a half to loose, I feel like a bit of a fraud when I read some of the amazing weight loss stories on this forum, but I want to teach myself a healthier way of eating instead of dropping a few pounds for a big night out then scoffing the nxt week cos I'm starving.
Are you really excited about your new venture, have u got a target to reach by Xmas (can't believe I'm saying that in July) x

Iv got my first weigh in at work on Friday , a couple of the girls are giving it a go, are you going to have a weigh in day x

You shouldn't feel like a fraud. It doesn't matter how much or little you have to loose, it's what makes you happy that matters Hun. We'll all help you loose that stone and a half and then you can support us with getting the rest off us whilst you maintain
I've got just over 7 stone to loose which is going to take a long time. I know this sounds a very small goal for the 6 months until Xmas but I would like to loose 2 stone by then. I'm away on an all inclusive holiday for two weeks next month so I am trying to be realistic x

Two stone is alot to loose, (new winter wardrobe!!)
If u lost 2lb a week you'd do it by nxt summer
I'd like to do it by Christmas, then try for another baby, so whilst ur maintaining next year I'll by trying to loose the baby bulge (again lol)

That's a good point. Obviously I won't be thin for this summer but I could be for next years summer hols.

At least I'll still be plodding on when you go to loose weight again so I can support you through it again lol.

Have you got any kids at the moment? I don't blame you trying to loose the weight before trying to get pg. That's a good goal to have as motivation x

My little girl will be two in October. Time she had a little bother or sister I think!!!
I felt so great after having her I wasnt bothered about losing weight but if I don't do it now I'll be looking at loosing a good 3-4 stone after baby two x
