I'm scared I'm going to reach for the pizza

I just feel awful. I've been crying on and off most of the day at work (not CD related - I hope). I've come home to a cold empty house, which just makes me even worse.

All I want to do is put a frozen pizza in the oven.

Though I know what will happen, I'll cry over the pizza it won't change my feelings and I'll cry more afterwards for eating it.

sounds like u know the answer clarabel! dont do it! it wont make you feel any better, in fact ull feel worse! is there nothing u could do to make u feel better? taking a long hot bath with loads of bubbles, doing ur nails or watchin a nice film?

If you aren't hungry then food isn't the solution.

You need to deal with whatever has made you cry all day and you have stated that isn't to do with food or the diet.

If you know what it is and you realise that food won't help the situation then step away from the food.

Is there someone you can speak to to help you work through the real issue? A problem shared is a problem halved and all that :)

It doesn't make the need or want for the food any less. I'm glad I suppose that I am conscious of it though - 1st step?

regarding the solution of the first problem - its not as easy as that. God knows I wish it was.

PS - I did some NLP exercise last night where you have to imagine yourself walking through a filter and how you would be on the other side as a person who you want to be with no issues etc. All I could imagine myself was sitting on the outside of the filter in a heap crying.

You poor thing!You sound like your suffering!Don't eat the pizza!Try and find something to keep yourself busy!
I've spent years comfort eating and ended up fat rather than happy and the problems are still there,but the achievement of losing weight will help you feel more positive about life and hopefully will make you(and me when I've lost my weight!)feel so much happier with life.
