Indian Takeaway - Help!!

OH has just mentioned having an Indian meal delivered tonight so I want to know what I can have. I normally have a Korma, would this be allowed due to the coconut?
If not what else could I have that's creamy and not too spicy? I'll have a saag bahji instead of rice etc.

Im pretty bored so ive had a look at recipes to see what is in things:

Korma:

  • 2 Chicken Breasts Chopped into Bite Size Pieces
  • 1 Tin Coconut milk
  • 4oz Thick Natural Yogurt
  • 3 Egg Yolks
  • 3 Tablespoons Mango chutney
  • Quarter of an onion finely chopped
  • 2 Teaspoon Curry Powder
  • 4 Cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 2 inches Root Ginger grated
  • 5 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Massalla
  • 2 drops Almomd Extract (Not essence)
  • 1 Tablespoon toasted almond slices
Passanda:

  • 3 Chicken Breats cubed
  • 1 Tin evaporated milk
  • 4oz ground almonds
  • 2 tablespoons flaked almonds
  • 4oz Thick Greek Yogurt
  • 4oz double cream
  • 2 Tablespoons tomato puree
  • 3 Tablespoons Mango chutney
  • Quarter of an onion finely chopped.
  • 2 Teaspoons Curry Powder
  • Half Teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 3 Finely Chopped Cayenne Chillies
  • 4 Cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 2 inches Root Ginger grated
  • 5 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons roughly chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 Tablespoon whole coriander leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Massalla
Butter chickem:

  • 1 dessertspoon dried crushed chillies
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced root ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 5 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 125g (4¼ oz) natural yoghurt
  • 500g (1¼ lb) skinless, boneless chicken breast fillets, cubed
  • 125g (4¼ oz) butter
  • 2 red peppers, sliced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons double cream
  • good handful chopped fresh coriander
All 3 dishes are very similar, I guess evaporated milk is a no no.
Also, tandori stuff would be ok wouldnt it?

I have, although only from Asda, not a real authentic one.
I think I will go for that one Rainbow, the one from Asda was lush so I imagine one from the Indian will be super lush :)

Im not a big fan of supermarket curries, they are always a bit sad.

It comes in a hot iron bowl thing, really simmering to hell, its sooo yummy.

Ps.. I hope you are happy with yourself.. I am now desperately craving indian food.. not sure my steak and salad for tea is going to cut it now. :rotflmao: xx

I never trusted any takeaways or restaurants when I was on induction, But saying that I do theink they are all much more carb/cal aware these days.

Well I am paying for my gluttony.. out of ketosis, very squiffy tummy, generally feeling tired and grumpy.

Next time i'll stick with the steak & salad lol. xx
