Hi guys, I've just rejoined SW after about 5 years! Annnnddd I've got an Xmas dinner to attend at an Indian Restaurant. I really don't want to mess up my first week (or any for that matter!). Please give me your suggestions on what do eat.

I'm definitely looking at plain boiled rice. But what could I have with it that's within my 10syns....?

Hi Nadiya! Welcome back to Slimming World! How are you getting on so far? I just noticed your post, I don't know if your Xmas dinner is over now but I'll reply anyway :)

Sticking with plain boiled rice is definitely the way to go. In terms of main dishes, an average serving of chicken tandoori is 9.5 syns so that could work for you, if you're sticking with a maximum of 10 syns. Is there a reason you're not allowing yourself the full 15 syns though? If you prefer vegetable dishes, a vegetable jalfrezi is 10.5 syns so that might be an option. Poppadoms are 4 syns each and most of the dips you get are 1-2 syns per level tablespoon.

Hiya , the dinner is over but i appreciate your reply. I most probably went over my syns, but i tried to minimize, as a result i lost 1.5lbs in my first week.

About the amount of syns, the SW leader told me people have between 5-15 syns a day depending on your weight, height etc, and said I could have 10... ?
