i want to put his cd's on it but i need one that would hold a lot. How many cds would a 32GB hold.

A 32gb would hold roughly 7000 songs max. That would be maximum capacity and would only be the case if all he has on the ipod are songs. If he has loads of apps, photos, videos etc on his ipod then he won't fit as many songs on.

i bought this 1 last year for my oh.... its amazing really really loud :) you can power it off battery or mains.

me and the OH are really into good sound quality ( he is a dj so he really is into quality sounding equipment) JBL is a very good make for the price unless you want to spend a fortune i would recommend this

JBL On Stage III Portable Loudspeaker Dock for iPod: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

hope this helps :)

oh yeah this charges your ipod aswell which is a bonus cause not all docking stations do that :)

xx

it is only going to be for songs. hubby has hundreds of cd's though. maybe we would need a bigger one.

I have an 80GB ipod classic. I have hundreds of songs on it, plus music videos and full length films with lots of room to spare. I can also use it in the car as there is an ipod connector/adapter in the front armrest. I have a VW.

I'm thinking about buying my son an itouch 32gb or 64gb, as the hard drive on his classic has given up the ghost. His classic was a special edition one as it had U2's signatures on it.

I'm with Wee Doll on this one...my JBL speakers are brilliant, and unless I could afford Bose, I wouldn't buy any others.

As for the iPod, it depends what he's want it for. If it's just music, then go for a classic one as the battery life will be better. But if he'll want to play games on it and watch films, then the iPod touch is the way to go.

For our wedding anniversary we invested in a dock for the bedroom. We bought
Sony AIR SW10Ti Black | iPod Dock with Wireless Subwoofer - iPod not included | Richer Sounds, which is a LOT more expensive from other companies - but the sound quality is gorgeous on it.

As for the size of the ipod. I have an 8gb phone and its pretty much full, and I cant fit all the music on my itunes on it. I probably could just about if I took all the apps off - but I would go for as big as you can reasonably afford, especially if he is going to use it for apps because they can fill a lot of space.

I was looking at some in Asda only yesterday - they've got a few that are almost half price. Can't remember makes / models but seemed v. good value.
