Italy in September/October

We've booked our flights for Italy (flying into Naples) and are going to go to Rome for 3 days and then head back and have 10 days on the Amalfi Coast - if anyone has been and has any good suggestions on where to stay etc. that would be fab xxx

Alas the only times I've been to Italy I was camping, so couldn't reccommend hotels.

If you get the opportunity I'd definitely suggest that you visit Firenze, Venice and Sorrento.
I have been to Rome on a rugby weekend and absolutely loved it. 3 days is not long enough to see everything so have a good idea what you want to do before you go so as not to miss out.

Other than that I can't be much help as I have only been to Pompeii many years ago and then Lake Garda, Verona and Venice a couple of years ago.

It is a beautiful country though and I am sure you will have a wonderful time.
It was a few years ago now but we stayed in the hotel Primavera. It was cheap very clean and in a brilliant location across the street from Campo dei Fiori. It's on the third floor of a palazzo.

Slowly But Surely
I'm planning my Italy trip for June at the minute and my traveller friends have suggested Sardinia as a whole, Pompeii which is feasible on a day trip from Rome and obviously Firenze (Florence) and Cinque Terre is meant to be one of the most amazing places ever which is close ish to Firenze. Should be great! I feel like the diet's gonna go out the window for a couple weeks...

Italy is gorgeous and you will instantly fall in love with the place & the people.
My dad is italian & comes from Palermo, sardinia is a lovely place to visit as is Capri, which is just stunning :D
Enjoy your trip!
I have booked a holiday to Italy too. I had been thinking about it for a while and then people around me started talking about going to Italy and it just made me want it even more. So I am back to Malcesine for 10 days in September and can't wait. :D
