I've gone off Briks...

...altho' I was never really 'on' them. I find they don't last long enough, and they leave a funny taste in my mouth for ages afterwards (even the Banana, which is my favourite). I just can't get through them slowly (unlike a bar) and I don't feel at all filled up afterwards. Sorry, Briks! :) I'll be sticking to the rest of the range from now on.

PS. That lady who lost 24½ stone on CD ONLY ate Chocolate Velvet Briks throughout her whole weight loss (because she didn't like anything else) - I don't think I could have had that willpower!

Have to admit that though I loved the choc one, I very rarely had it alone as a meal. Always split it and had half tetra, half black coffee...otherwise it just went too quick:eek:

Could make a massive choc/coffee for just half a tetra. Filling too :)

i like the tetra's but find after a few sips its all gone so i tend to stick with the powder shakes and im loving the porrige! feels like an actual meal! x x

I could try that - although even gallons of coffee doesn't seem to get rid of the funny taste! :sigh:

Like you Jaycey, I hate the tetras... ughhh!!!!!! They just taste weird to me. I had a banana one frozen to see if that was better, but nah... and had the choc one as hot choc, but prefer the sachets. It's a pain not to be able to use them when out & about, but they really don't do it for me.

Tetras are pre-mixed drinks available from your CDC, as a replacement meal such as a powder sachet - there are only 3 flavours I think though and from my CDC they are more expensive than sachets, so that was a no-no for me..

Hope that helps

I can't stand the tetras, they taste like chemicals to me! I've tried all 3 flavours and urged my way though the chocolate one!

Good job we're all different hey!

Ive never tried the tetras either.

Although im not working at the minute so its handier for me to make shakes or soups, but might have to try them when i start working again(soon i hope! lol).

I depend on the chocolate ones for at work, as i dont want anyone knowing just yet, i have them one my night shifts, but 11 hours on one little carton i do feel very deprived, when there is food every where and 6am is toast & tea time! But i resist and think in a few months i can join them again x

The tetras are just too small for me, one big slurp of a straw and they are gone. Ive tried opening them up and adding water but then they taste funny. No more for me!

Just the same as me! :)

I just tried something with my remaining Tetra - and it's NOT to be recommended! I tried to make a giant mousse by making the liquid quantity up to 300ml with water and then using two scoops of mix-a-mousse. It was WEIRD! To start with, the mousse turned into a kind of stretchy glue and wrapped itself around my mixing fork. Then when I sorted that out, I blended it all well and put it in the fridge. It kind of separated out into two halves, a sort of grainy jelly at the bottom and a very smooth foamy cream at the top (none of which was sweet enough because I'd topped up the liquid). Some people might like the creamy effect but the jelly bit is very odd. Don't think I'll be doing this again, lol!
