So just weighed in this morning after completing first 3 weeks on new JUDD lifestyle & I'm 7lbs down.

Some background....I'm 60yrs young and have struggled with my weight most of my life...mostly I managed to keep it at a comfortable 10st 7lbs - 11st...which was not skinny slim but was not exactly fat either & I was quite fit. However the last 20yrs as my dearest OH says..I managed to diet 'ON' 10 stone ( I must have lost at least 20st during those 20yrs and each time put it back on with a bit extra for good measure LOL..sound familiar??).
2 yrs ago my health started to suffer & my GP put me on Xenical & told me to count calories. It worked..I lost 4 stone...then life got in the way..and slowly back it all came until in July another health scare and I decided something had to be done.
I needed to do a 30hrs clear fluids followed by nil by mouth before a medical procedure..and found it quite easy..at the same time people were talking about the Panorama programme..so I started to do some research and came across JUDD....so I started...hopefully with the support on here..this time I can make it.
Like many of you I use MFP to log my foods...and have been on there about 2yrs, however calorie counting on its own never lasts with me because I behave for a few weeks then binge on naughties...this plan lets me have them on my UD's...yipee....except that at the moment I don't actually want them and stuggle to meet my calories. I've got great friends on MFP but TBH they make me feel so guilty if i work anything slightly unhealthy into my daily calories!! I cook nearly everything from fresh..but do like to Bake as well....

    My JUDD allowances are DD 427 & UD 2102, however the last 3 weeks I've been doing DD Mon/Wed/Fri & achieving around 500. Tues/Thurs around 1600..and SAT/Sun I try to do 1600 +

So today is an UD. Fruit, cereal & yoghurt for breakfast as I was working early am and can't be bothered at 6am to do anything fancy. Some crabsticks as a snack with my coffee when I got in. Lovely ommelet for lunch, with mushrooms, ham & cheese..felt really guilty about having the cheese as thats something I love and have been trying to cut from my daily diet...sooo nice to actually need to include it to bump my calories!! Had a caramel desert at tea time..again a treat. Just waiting for veggies for our tea to cook..we are having Roast Chicken, cabbage, carrots peas, mash & gravy..yum yum!! Strawberries & ice cream after. Inspite or despite all this my total calories are still under 1600!!! I'm really finding the Up days harder than the DD's.....might have to have a wee glass of wine later..LOL!!

OMG DD today...now I'm fantasising about Bacon Butties......not had one of those for ages LOL

So today it was strawberries and fat free yoghurt for breakfast, home made tomato vegetable soup for lunch & i've got Rice noodles with a bit of chicken and more vegetables for tea. a couple of mugs of tea plus black coffee..and loads of water. Slightly high on my calories at 521 but I've done a bit of Leslie Sansone walking so that should make up for it.
I'm swimming at 9am tomorrow so won't be having much for breakfast beforehand so that should give me a good burn to start the day.
already planning treats for tomorrow including a homemade chicken & mushroom pie for tea..yum yum!!

Oh dear..on Tuesday did I really say I was having a hard time eating my UD calories...scrub that..today I am well up there...Chicken Pie for tea..OMG 750 calories in the crust alone....no wonder I haven't had pastry for yonks..and never counted the calories when I did..never mind a treat is a treat......plus a grateful Service User gave me a box of Thorntons Choccies...I've eaten 4 already. Told OH to hide the box or get them eaten before Sat. So glad I went swimming this morning because I have really hammered it today with the eating...roll on my DD tomorrow...I think I'll do an ID Sat too...except for the chocs of course!

Yep the chicken pie was worth every sinful calorie!!!!!!!:eatdrink023:

Up early this morning..suns shining, get the washing on & out..don't think about food. Ate enough yesterday to last me a week never mind until lunch time!!:sigh:
Just a cup of tea until then..fruit & yoghurt for lunch to appease the sweet cravings after all the choccies yesterday, then home made chicken mushroom & pepper soup for tea. Should be around 500 for the day.

If  I can keep to it today ( Yes I will!!) it will be something of a victory for this new lifestyle because on a normal CC lifestyle that I've yo yo-ed on for years..I'd have probably carried on today where I left off yesterday because I'd have thought my 'diet week' ruined so "I might as well restart on Monday"......and who knows if Monday I would have.
Just got to get my head around the fact that yesterdays 'high' should actually 'help' my potential loss this week!!

:bliss:Snuck on the scales early this morning before getting off out to work, I appear to have lost another 2lbs since Tuesday!!??!! Anyway not going to make it 'Official' until this Tuesday..just in case..but after that mega 'face stuffing' on Thursday I am totally convinced that this is the 'lifestyle' for me..no going back..this is it!!

ID today. Branflakes, a peach & yog for Breakfast.Homemade Soup & a lovely oatbread roll for dinner. Homemade hamburger with cheese & fried onions for tea....omg...mouths watering thinking about it. Plus I've eaten the last 2 Thorntons!!! Logs out at about 1600 cals for the day...so not a bad total..and so nice knowing if I slip up & pick at something else..its not the end of the world..so loving it.....thank you JUDD!!:thankyou:

Another ID today. Branflakes & fruit before work, snack of crabsticks on my break. Will have a ham & mushroom ommelette for dinner & we are having poached salmon jacket spud & veg for tea. May have some ice cream as well but not feeling that bothered about food today. Lazy afternoon at home and then tomorrow will be the first time i have done a full morning shift on a DD, that will be a challenge. Not quite sure how it will go!!

Full morning of work on a DD completed. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I had melon & 0% fat yoghurt for breakfast. Had planned a mid morning snack of crab sticks, however I had to pick up some emergency cover work so plans changed & a cup of tea had to do instead. Mushroom omlette for dinner & I'm having soup for tea. Its a lovely day today so of outside in a minute with OH to mow the lawn & do some much needed weeding....keep my mind of eating..official weigh in in the morning! Hope I'm showing the same number I did on Sat morning....:hmm:

Got the lawn mowed, then spent a couple of hours weeding and moving heavy pots...according to MFP even though I did't logg the full time I was out there..I 'burnt' 775 calories...and I only at 500 today...feel great..no problems with energy..but OMG my stomach is rumbling and this is the most hungry that I have felt on any DD. Going to go to bed early tonight..bring on breakfast PDQ!!!
