just cant get my head into it

hi everyone, im really stuggling and need some help. i dieted in july last year on the discover plan i did it 100% for 12 weeks and lost 2 1/2 stone. i gained half a stone back over xmas so in feb i decided to try pro points i just cant seem to loose with this diet.
so after 3 months of on/off pro point dieting i have put on another stone now i really want to loose weight. i started back on the discover plan yesterday but i just cant seem to get my head into it i just want to eat and just cant be bothered to diet, its so hard as i really do want to loose weight, any help would be really great.:cry::sigh::break_diet:

Hi Sarah, i was in a silmilar situation to u after xmas, where i couldnt really be bothered to follow the plan etc, but you honestly just have to take things slowly to start with and ease yourself back into it. I found by setting lots of mini goals like, 'to fit into a size 14 top' rather than 'i need to lose 3 stone' really helps as the pressure isnt as intense!

Also, think about the first time round, you did amazingly well, so you've done it once so you can definatly do it again! Good Luck :)

thankyou for ur post, thats what gets me i know i can do it but i just struggle and dont no y i just want to eat all the time

How do you 'spend' ur points? Do you have a big lunch or a big tea? I find having small amount of points for bfast and lunch helps as i can have a good evening meal and i dont feel as hungry at night time x

Hello Sarah,

I do hope you find this encouraging. Many months ago I could have written that post, but I did get back on track, stuck with points, and now I have been at goal for a whole year.
You can do it, and you can keep it off, you proved that you have the determination already. Absolutely agree with Nicola, set small acheivable goals and build from there.
Good luck with it, it will all be worth it when you reach that goal weight.

I'm at the same kind of place as you, I rejoined ww but couldn;t be doing with the new pro points .

I've just started going back to discover this week cos I lost 2 and half stone on that but have unfortunately put it back on,
Determined to do it this time, believe in yourself. You know what its like once youve lost the first few pounds that first week it gives you the incentive to keep going.
Hope this helps good luck and you know you can do it, I know its hard losing what youve already lost once but just think what a difference it will make, and every pound is a step in the right direction.

thankyou everyone for ur support! well its day 3 and despite the strong urge to give in i have kept it up 100%, i do feel alot better today though i am still getting the ocassional urge to just eat, i just keep reminding myself that i need to loose the weight and that i dont want to be fat any more. i hope that as the days go on it will get alot easier.
i have a big tea as i get hungry in the evening due to just watching tv and not having anything to take my mind off eating, although people say try doing something to take ur mind off it, it is difficult as by the time my daughter has gone bed i am shattered and all i want to do is relax.

this is my daily menu for the last three days, hopefully some advice could be given if u feel i need it?
so im doing a fast track week this week of 18 points as i did this on my first try back in july and lost 10lb in the first week, and i hope another big loss will give me the boost i need.

Hi Sarah

your food diaries sound really good! I usually leave 8 points from 4pm onwards which usually covers dinner and a few snacks.

I have tried to limit the snacks (junk) I have and I don't tend to eat chocolate as that just eats up your points! For a sweet treat I have a pink and white like you or a small lollypop for half a point.

I also make sure I have loads of veg with lunch and dinner to fill me up. I use the Bisto Best gravy as you get quite a large amount for half a point, sometimes I have 2 fishfingers or 2 chicken nuggets with loads of 0 point veg and gravy and it's only 2.5 points and so filling (great for if you've spent too many points during the day!)
