Hi everyone,
My name is Jo and I live in Oxfordshire. I'm 35 and have just had my second baby, a boy called Rowan. He is 4 weeks old now
I also have a 4 year old daughter called Sophia, and I'm married to a very supportive guy.
I work in publishing but am on maternity leave at the moment.
I am starting weight watchers tomorrow, although I'd prefer to just count calories myself at home, I feel that I need the accountability that a group gives you.
Please wish me luck, I've tried everything in the past apart from surgery (which my GP keeps trying to get me to have, he wants me to have a gastric band fitted but I don't want to).
I have emotional ties to food and have had a lot of cognitive behavioural therapy in the past which helped me to stop binge eating, but I still struggle with sweet foods in the evening.
I really need all the support that I can get, as we all do I'm sure! I have been morbidly obese now for over 12 years and am struggling to believe that I will actually do it
I will be hopefully posting weight loss video diaries on my youtube channel which is the same username as here. I posted them a lot in the past and it really helped at the time, so hopefully that will be a useful tool for me again.
I really look forward to getting to know you all, I did join minimins a couple of years ago but closed my account as I was on the cambridge diet at the time and it messed my dieting head up a bit!
Hugs,
Jo
