Just registered. Anyone in a wheelchair?

#1
Hi everyone, I have a neurological disease and need to use a wheelchair. It has been very difficult to lose weight because of my physical limitations and inability to do aerobic exercise but I keep gaining and that is NOT good for me. I want to focus on food choices and portion control, any suggestions for which diet would work best for me? Would love to know if any other wheelchair users have had success with weight loss? Look forward to meeting new friends and building a support system to keep me on the path to weight loss.

Hi, I do Slimming World (not sure if you have that in the US) and there is a guy at my class who is in a wheelchair. Not sure why but he has use of his upper body. He also goes to my gym and just uses the hand bike and some upper body weights. Sorry I can't be more useful, welcome to the forum x

Hi and welcome :) if you haven't settled on a diet yet, ketosis based diets don't need exercise - in fact you have to be careful not to over exercise if you do. ;)

Cambridge Diet, Lighter Life, Lipotrim and Atkins are all ketosis based ;)

Good luck in your decision and weight loss journey :)
