Karenlou pops her head round the door

Hi guys. Well I've been well and truly off the wagon. Been ill and comfort eating and now I'm on drugs that cause weight gain (in fact the information says can cause extreme weight gain  )

I was going to try and maintain but I don't like being this size so I'm trying JUDDD again.

Had my first down day yesterday and kept it to 640 cals which isn't brilliant but it's a start. Up day today (hooray!) and intermediate day tomorrow as I have lunch with a work colleague.

Down day again Saturday which should be quite easy as DH is out at the footie so won't be waving wine and chocs under my nose.

Nice to see you back Karenlou, we've missed you! Good luck hun xxx
Thanks for the welcomes. Back at GPs for a check up today and he says I can go back to work in January on a "step up step down" basis, which apparently means I do more or less work depending on how well I feel. Got to have a case conference at work with Human Resources, my boss and our Occupational Health Department to sort that out. I have a nasty suspicion I'll end up taking early retirement but maybe I'm being too pessimistic.

I am maintaining my weight and the doc is very happy from that point of view so any loss is a bonus as far as he is concerned.

Enjoyed my up day yesterday and having my intermediate day today but I'm feeling too full and looking forward to my down day tomorrow! Good sign I guess. Off to pictures tonight and I could have popcorn if I wanted but I just don't fancy it! Who'da thunk it?
Hi Shep and thanks.

Well, my first weigh-in and I've lost 5lbs :D

Also I have had a letter from the University, formally offering me a funded place for my PhD, starting in January - gulp!
