Ketosis and 25 BMI

I am just wondering why ketosis is safe the wrong side of 25 BMI but not when below it?

Why is this?

Not that I want to continue it below 25 BMI I just want to clear up on my own mind why it is safe now for me if its not below 25 BMI if that makes sense.....

ooo not sure hun, I am sure an expert will be along in a mo. Could it be something to do with having less fat to burn, ie, ketosis burns fat for energy, when it is plentiful no problem, but when there isn't so much it will not provide the energy we need to function?



That's an easy one.

with the high protein content of the diet it can guarentee to protect against lean mass loss when there's a good supply of adipose tissue available.

As your body fat content falls some muscle loss will occur.
