Ketosis on day 2?


Feeling great in 2012!
I usually start to go in by about the end of the 2nd day (according to the ketostix that show light pink at that point), so about 48 hours after my last non ketogenic meal. The hunger doesn't go away for me though until day 4 and by that time the ketostix are showing purple. Everyone's different and it is influenced by your own genetic make-up, and how many carbs you were consuming pre starting the packs. If you low carbed before starting you might have already been in mild ketosis before you started. The really sensible thing to do is to low carb before starting a VLCD but I don't take my own advice and have always done a high carb last supper the day before I start :).

Getting in early is good as it makes things so much easier :)
