    How dangerous I's it for us to be I'n prolonged ketosis? I have read somewhere that it knackers the kidneys? Can anyone shed any light on this??

    You'll read a lot of horror stories about Vlcds and ketosis if you look enough. Most are just plain scaremongering or Ill informed. Vlcds are perfectly safe and no ones in ketosis constantly long term

    I guess it's not like someone is gonna to choose to do it permanently as a way of life for ever so for a few months or however long it takes as long as you stick to it correctly and drink the water like you are advised it i guess it is fine.
    Probably much healthier for your kidneys than drinking litres of 'bad' fizzy juice every day or loads of booze.
