Leahs s&s journey

    Hi guys,

    I'm currently on day 2 of s&s and have been reading all your diaries so figured id make my own!

    So about me, I'm 20 years old (nearly 21) and I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy Harry on 9/10/13 (he's 20 weeks old tomorrow) I've always followed Dukan diet before but I want a change. My lowest weight before pregnancy was 10 stone 4lb, I started this diet yesterday at 12 stone 6.

    I would love to get in the 9s! But my first mission is getting back in the 10s like before pregnancy.

    I'm 5ft 3 so I don't carry weight very well :(

    I ordered the taster pack so got 28 random products..

    Sooo yesterday went like this:

    B- strawberry Shake (this was ok)
    L- Thai soup (did not like, all powder lumps in!)
    D- spicy spaghetti (like this)
    S- lemon bar (like this)

    Weighed this morning and 2lb gone already :)

    So today will go like this:

    B- banofee porridge (like this)
    L- mint chocolate shake
    D- cheesey pasta
    S- mushroom soup

    I would love to hear everyone's preferences and what patterns you go for, I.e shake, soup, meal, bar....

    P.s I won't be eating anything other than the packs I'll be doing 100% packs only.

    Welcome and good luck with it.

    Soups better if you get all the lumps out in a little bit of water before adding the rest. I love the spicy spaghetti and the banoffee. Hazelnut caffe latte and caramel shakes are nice hot with coffee. Choc orange bars are gorgeous. But everyone has really different tastes and they change too.

    Good luck on your journey! You'll be sailing through it especially with your little one to distract you!!

    I love hot shakes: banana, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate - all yummy hot and frothy!!
    (Use a handblender ;) )

    I'm not a fan of the soups but I do have a true sweet tooth (well, my whole set of teeth are sweet actually!!)
    Bars are all yum!!

    You can definitely do this. I gained 4 stone in pregnancy and went up to 16st, 4lb (I'm 5'4"), and I finally have managed to creep into the 9's where I've been for over a month now.

    Thanks so much for all the advice, if I do as well as you two then id be over the moon :)

    Can't wait to be in ketosis just want this headache to go away!

    Don't think I'll be ordering any more soups there not very nice :( and still can't seem to prevent powder lumps. Never mind, I'll just have to force this batch down me!!

    So day 3 already! Each day is getting easier thank god.

    Already figured I'm not a fan of soups and shakes, hate the soups, I don't mind the shakes but it's not like I enjoy them either like I do the porridge/meals/bars. So I don't look forward to having a shake.

    Does anyone just have porridge, meal packs and bars? I will still order a few shakes but I'm going to order mainly the other things so I actually look forward to eating :)

    Totm has made an appearance today! So headaches, tired and totm, what a bloody combination lol.

    Most of the time I tend to have porridge, meal pack or soup, bar and then meal pack. I do really like the shakes made into a pancake with egg white and water and then dry fried. I use the carton egg whites and you do have to account for them but it's really low calorie about 20 cals for two tablespoons and no carbs. I didn't add anything at first so you might want to keep things really simple but could be a way to use up unwanted shakes later. And the caramel one is really nice made like that.

    I think day 3 is the day I collapsed into bed at about 8pm. You might just have to sleep when your little boy does for a couple of days!!

    Some valuable advice thanks :)

    I know that I'll feel 100% better next week when ketosis kicks in and my stomach starts adapting to less food.

    You seem to notice all the bloody food adverts on tv when on a diet!! Stupid things lol.

    So far so good today,

    B- caramel shake (didn't like this)
    L- cheesy pasta (like)
    D- will be porridge
    S- will be maple, almond bar

    Going to make my next order tomorrow but not sure what to order as I haven't had time to sample all the packs, but if I don't do it before 4.30pm tomorrow then I won't get my parcel in time as will have ran out of packs on Sunday :/

    Heya hun well done ur doin well :) the shakes i find them nyc as pancakes like clin suggestedf or i mke it into a thick paste in a mug so tht it mkes u think tht ur avin cake dessert hehe n its quite filling n ur chewin so tends to trick me into thinkin im avin dessert rather then a shake add hot water to the shake til its turned into a thick paste :) i sumtimes have two shakes so there is more in a mug or the other thing u cud try wich is lush witb the shakes is again mke into thick paste and shape them into bar like shape in silver foil then pop in freezer for like a hr or two when u tke em out its exactly like w soft chocccy bar u can do tht with ne of the shakes hun :) its lush n mkes u think ur avin a chocolate bar espec with the unwrappin of the foil :) hpe tht helps in some way cz im bit like u dnt like them as shakes lool xxx

    today I am in ketosis wooo, tested and I'm between the darkest and the second darkest so let the fat burning commence :)

    Thanks for the advice pripri those ideas sound great! I'm not daring enough to start experimenting yet though lol can guarantee I'll mess the pack up and end up with nothing :( hopefully I'll get a bit more creative as time goes along :)

    Woo day 4! Ketosis is here finally, hopefully I'll start feeling more energetic soon (doesn't help that my 4 month old wakes in the night for a feed then wakes for the day at 7am lol) so my tiredness might not be down to the diet...

    Today will look like this:

    B- banana shake (like this)
    L- curry noodle soup
    D- mushroom pasta
    S- dark choc Truffa bar

    I had a slight different day than plan above,

    Had banana shake, mint choc shake, chicken curry soup and just had chilli con carne.

    The soup was horrible, Definately not ordering any soups tomorrow lol. The chilli was nice though :)

    My baby eats warm porridge and fruit for breakfast and I obviously have to test the temperature of his food by putting a bit on my tongue, does anyone know if this will take me out of ketosis? It's such a tiny tiny amount but it's something I just can't get away with not doing as I will not risk giving my baby food that's too hot...?? Xxx

    Well silly me forgot to put my order in by 4.30 on Friday so now I've not got enough packs, won't get my delivery til Tuesday. I've dropped to 2/3 packs a day and a chicken salad until my products come to hopefully keep me in ketosis.

    Hopefully I'll still lose weight despite the 'real food', even though it is only plain lettuce leafs and plain chicken breast lol. Looking forward to week one weight in on Monday :) xxx

    Aww np hun yh i was exaclty the sme infact i still am lol sometimes dnt wna experiment js incase end up messin them up bt u kno the paste mix u dnt av to put it on micro even u js add warm water to it and stir it til its a paste :) u do it wen ur comfy nuf :) ur doin well hun xx oh and bonafee porridge is beaut too hun xx

    People seem to lose the same on both and he chicken and leaves is likely to be lower carb so you may be in ketosis sooner. Hope it's going well

    So week 1 weigh in and 8lbs down!!!! And now in the 11s! Also lost 5.5 inches overall.
