I've got a cheap ryannair flight to Shannon and have just two nights to spend somewhere - should I choose Limerick or Ennis? And why?

Never been anywhere in Ireland and I only have one and half days so not much I can do but would like thoughts of anyone who knows more than me.

    Thanks

Just like Brighton has the lanes...Galway has the Latin Quarter.

I was only there for 2 nights but I loved the area, We had a full day at Bunratty castle and the gardens, and then had a meal at the Irish night, had loads of fun, I stayed at the Radisson SAS just outside Shannon. We also ate at Dromoland Castle, wow that was lovely. Luxury Hotels Ireland, Castle Hotels Ireland, Ireland Luxury Hotel - Dromoland Castle Clare

I wished Id have had longer, I have been to Ireland before but it was for a conference, and we stayed in Tallaght, didnt get to see any of Dublin at all.

Have loads of fun, Id return like a shot x

I'd go to Galway too. It's not too far and can be done. There isn't anything much in either Ennis or Limerick...

I LOVE Galway and have been there MANY times.

    Thanks,

I'm really looking forward to Galway. But I'm still going to go to Limerick as well ... always good to have something to compare to and as I haven't been anywhere in Ireland before, and it is only costing me the price of accommodation, I'm looking forward to it. It will just be nice to get away from familiar surroundings.
