Lizzzi's Diary! Got to target, now to maintain :)

Hello, I have decided to start a brand new diary. I did have one but barely updated it so decided to start a fresh :)
Basically, my name is Lizzy. I am 21 yrs old, i have been overweight for most of my life but it only became a problem to me personally when I was 14. Starting to socialise more in secondary school and feeling the pressure to look good all the time. Sadly I lost a lot of my personality as it basically took over most of my life, when I got to 18 I lost most of my friends as i refused to go out due to anxiety and feeling like I didn't fit in at all with everyone else.
At 16 I decided to go on one of those "fad diets", i even tried the soup diet which made me a very ill girl! After giving up, I piled on the weight from there... I didn't go out so I used to just stuff my face with cakes, chocolate, crisps, biscuits, fizzy drinks, sweets.... I didn't really have much of a structured day. I had no job, no friends.

Anyway, I finally built up the courage to join a 'proper' diet plan at the age of 20... which was of course Slimming World. I have been on it ever since and of course it hasn't been easy.. i've had ups and downs on the plan, i've had good days and bad days but i'm still on my way and losing weight. I had a miscarriage the end of last year which messed up my mind and diet.. I got back on it eventually and haven't come off it since and don't plan to either! I'm enjoying the plan faaaar too much to just throw it away. :)


That's my introduction anyway, look forward to "speaking" to some people about their journey's xxxx

So glad you're still going despite all your ups and downs, it's so strong of you to carry on.

SW is definitely worth sticking with, I am a total convert and obviously it's working for you with the best part of two stone gone :D

Looking forward to seeing you tackle that last stone and a half!!

Hiya, thanks for popping in! I love SW, it's so easy to fit around my life now too. I love being able to go out and still be on plan :)
I just want to get this 1.5 stone off now, it isn't my actual target but i haven't decided what i want my final target to be... i'll know when I get there and I'm happy I guess. :) x

I think that's definitely the best way to think about it! I've set a target that will get me into a healthy BMI, but really I don't know what my true target it. I was saying to my boyfriend, I just cannot comprehend what I will look like when I weigh 11/12 stone, I don't think I've weighed that since I was in my mid teens and just don't know how I will look or feel! So am just going to wait and see!!

Yeah i'm the exact same, the thought of ever being a weight i've never been since i can remember is quite scary! I hope i feel happy when i get to my first target but if i don't then it's no big deal... i'll just keep going.

Ok so here's today's food. Been on plan all week so hope i get a good loss on Wednesday morning!

Extra Easy

Breakfast - Bacon buttie (Heb) grilled tomatoes & mushrooms.
Lunch - Cheesy chicken pasta (Hea) onions, cucumber, tomatoes. Peach & FF yogurt.
Dinner - Spicy chicken, SW Potatoes, Mushy Peas, Mushrooms
Syns - Curly Wurly (6) Space Raiders (3) EL Mayo (0.5)

Good day all in all. Not eaten much but the hot weather reduces my appetite always!
Froze my curly wurly, read a few people on here do it and that it tastes like chocolate ice cream.. it was gorgeous, deffo doing it again. :)
 
Afternoon, feeling so ugh today.. totm came AGAIN this morning. I had it for 2 days last week and now it's decided to make another appearence... bit confused as that's never happened before! day before weigh in too. :( Drinking lots of water to stop retention as much as possible.
Anyway, today I wore shorts for the first time ever in public. I didn't feel comfortable at all, I'd much rather just stick on a pair of leggings! Don't think I'm quite there yet with the confidence. Maybe next summer. :)


Today's food.

Breakfast - Porridge (Heb) Milk (Hea) Peach, Plum, Mullerlight
Lunch - Pork Stir Fry, Grapes topped with FF yogurt.
Dinner - Peppered Chicken, Roast Veg (Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions, Courgettes)
Snack - Space Raiders (3)

Just want to curl up in a ball today. :(

The weight I am at now i can't remember, lightest i remember is 14stone at age 11. Everytime i see the scales go down since then i've been amazing, its like a number i've neer seen before each time!

It's amazing isn't it, I'm sure I'll be estatic when I get to target because i honestly can't remember the last time i was below 13st. Still quite scary to think that i'll be in the 12's! i just hope i'm happy and content when I'm there :)
 
Morning diary, well i lost 2lbs this morning taking me to 14st1! so close to the 13's and my 2 stone sticker, hopefully next week :D
Got the day off work today so have decided to go and have some me time in the park with my kindle, going to make my own little mini picnic (sw friendly of course) and just relax. The weather is beautiful here so might even get a bit of a tan ;)

Back from the park, has been a lovely day! not as hot as yesterday but i don't like it too hot anyways :)

And sorry, I didn't reply to your other post, yes - I love the plan!! Really enjoying cooking different things, and I'm actually saving money as not buying takeaways or going out for dinner. How about you? What's your fave recipe??

No i do SW from home so i weigh at home, i used to struggle because of the lack of help before joining this site but as soon as find this forum i got all the help i needed... it's been a god send!

I love the mac n cheese recipe that was in last months magazine, its gorgeous! how bout you?
 
Ooh. Haven't tried that yet!! I recently did the spinach and ricotta cannelloni from the website, it was amazing, did not feel like any sort of diet food!!

Another beautifullllll day here. Not got much planned other than getting my roots done, they are so bad! Off to see Bon Jovi tomorrow in the Etihad Stadium for the boyfriends birthday, going to Nando's just before it.. very excited :D

Just sitting in the hairdressers at the moment, gone another day without weighing myself, that's 2 days so far! it's strange not knowing how i'm doing but it will also be a big suprise when i hop on the scales on wednesday. :):):)

Evening diary! Well Bon Jovi were absolutely amazing last night, the place was packed and the atmosphere was incredible! it will be a night i will never ever forget for sure :)
