Long long ......long term plans or goals

#1
Ok, so we are all here to lose weight, to become healthier, to get a bit fitter, to be around longer for our families.
Other than the actual weight loss have you set yourself goals or targets or even treats that you would like to achieve long term when you reach your desired goal.

One of the things I would like to do is walk part of the Camino on my own. I have no religious leanings and don't really want to walk through Spain to Santiago for spiritual reasons but part of the Camino goes through France through my favourite parts and this I would like to do. We will be in France in September in a village o the route and I hope to do some stages of it to see what it is like.
I suppose starting to hike then with a backpack and supplies would make sense, we live on a good hiking route and again I would like to do some stages of that and perhaps the whole lot one day.
We also live on a very scenic cycle route which one day I must try.
And we live on a lake and I would love to go kayaking on it regularly....this is the only one that I really cant do on my own for safety reasons so its a case of buying 2 kayaks and finding a partner in crime. A whole day out on the lake exploring all the bays and islands would be wonderful.

What about you...any long term plans.

WHEN i get to my LONG term goal of 10 stone 140 lb I want to go to NYC at the min 10-15 mins of walking I am sweating AND uncomfortable...IN oct 2020 I want to take my son to either Disneyland paris OR Florida ( depends on money and marriage working OR divorce RIGHT now) I doubt i will be at my GOAL weight BUT certainly 3 years down the line i hope to have lost enough to FIT on rides and in a plane without squashing myself in a seat.

I would like to take up swimming once i get to my goal weight-and go to classes to learn how to properly swim-MY 5 year old son said is that puppy paddle? in the pool the other day-so dont think i can do doggy paddle well enough :)

Every other year we go to the river 7 in shopshire and they canoe-I would like to try this as think it would be fun. xxxx

Jules, I've been canoeing at my current weight with no problems.

When my BMI gets to below 35, I plan to start the process of IVF. That's 34kg away. That's my motivation to lose weight.

When I'm much, much lighter than that, with a BMI of 25 or less, I would love to learn to horse ride. I quite enjoyed climbing when I was younger. I went last year but didn't do very much as was worried about the person belaying on the other end of the rope.

I want to buy myself a new wardrobe in size 14 (UK) clothes and wear them in comfort...not squeezing into them.

I also want to wear one of them semi bikini things (they have a high tummy) and not have it rolling down on me.
