Lose weight to gain a bikini bod! (May 2014)

    Hi ladies and gents!
    So I've dabbled here and there in sw but never stuck it out! I successfully lost 12lbs on ww last year for my holiday but it has all keeper back on :(

    I currently weight 10st3lbs and really would like to get down to 9st at least for my holiday in May to feel reasonably comfortable in a bikini. I am 5ft and was always petite and no heavier than 7st3lbs until I met my OH, gave up smoking and went on the pill at the same time.

    I am a huge believer that writing things down and going about this weight loss journey with others will be a huge help as I can't think "no one will know if I eat this chocolate bar"

    I hope you can all help me and give me any advice in doing this and I would love to help you if your having a ad day!

    So today I thought if try a red day as I've previously only done the extra easy


    Crusts away 50/50. (2.5)
    Poached egg
    Bacon -fat removed
    Baked beans
    Tiny amount ketchup. (1)
    100ml pure orange juice. (2.5)


    Chicken pieces
    2tbs light choices salad cream. (2)
    Red grapes


    Alpen light bar. (Hex b)

    Extra lean beef mince
    Chopped tomatoes
    Tomato purée
    Pasta sheets x 4 (1/2 portion = 2)
    60g cheddar (1/2 portion = 30g) (hex a)
    Sw chips/wedges 180g (hex b)

    1L water
    250ml diet Pepsi

    150ml ss milk. 1/2 Hex a
    Red grapes

    Diet energy drink

    2 x crusts away. 5.0
    HL coleslaw approx 50g. 1.0

    Gammon round
    2 x poached eggs
    Chips/wedges 230g. Hex b
    Red onion
    HL salad cream 1tbsp. 1.0
    Ketchup. 2tsp. 1.0

    1L water
    500ml diet Pepsi
    Lucozade sport. 4.5


    Wouldn't have had the lucizade but I went to the gym and they were out of water, and stupidly I didn't take my own bottle!

    Strangely I have been very hungry today, it's not like I've not eaten a lot! Hate days like this, I've walked over to my unopened carton of celebrations and baileys truffles 3 times, but I have resisted successfully!
    I haven't managed to get to a pair of scales yet (I don't own any as I get obsessed and start to weigh myself in the morning, evening after I have eaten, after I have been to the loo!) but I took measurements of my Leg - 22in and my waist 32in.
    I'm hoping to weigh myself next week at some point if I can get into town, but have heard the measurements are a better thing to go by. Anyone have any thoughts?

    Went to the gym last night and hoping to go in the morning and Monday.

    How is everyone knowing it's the weekend?! I'm so glad I've got the weekend off, had a stressful few days at work!

    Here's what I are today


    35g shreddies. HEx b
    150ml ss milk. 1/2 HEx a
    Red grapes


    100g potatoes mashed
    Approx 80ml ss milk. 1/2 HEx a
    Boiled egg
    Chicken pieces
    2tbsp LC salad cream. 2.0

    60g potatoes
    Beef stock
    Vegetable stock
    2 x aunt Bessie's dumplings. 18.0

    Think as of Monday I'm going to try the flexi syns

    Syns 20/15

    Thanks Hun, can I ask how much you're hoping to lose? I want to get down to 8st7lb, but I'll be happy with 9st for my holiday in May, I have worked it out and need to lose 16lbs in 17weeks. Which is do-able, I just need to cut down on the drinking! Xxx

    Morning diary,
    So yesterday with my curry and drinks I worked out I used around 60syns . I am disappointed In myself but there's nothing I can do about it now! And we all need a treat every now and then. I'm just starting again as of today and have decided to use the flexi syns as of tomorrow. Can't wait for my roast dinner this evening! Yummy! I'll post up today's foods this evening.

    I want to lose around 2 and a half stone as I want to be 8 and a half same as you! I want to lose as much as I can before I go away in Feb and then hopefully lose the rest for my holiday in June! Yeah thats definitely doable as thats around 1 pound a week! You can always have drinks with a diet mixer to lower the calories and reduce your syns in the week if you know your going out on the weekend!!xx

    Where are going on holiday? I'm going to turkey, I can't wait! We went to Greece last year and went over to turkey for 1 day to do some shopping and it was scorching! Yeah that's the plan but I really do wanna try and cut down on drinking altogether really, I seem to keep having anxiety/panic attacks every time I drink spirits. Not good!

    Im going to florida and benidorm! wow that will be fab! my dad goes to turkey all the time and he loves how hot it gets!!! I went to greece last year as well which was plenty hot enough for me hahah!! oh wow thats not a good sign!! see as of new year i vowed to give up alcohol as well as every time I have it im sick which really isnt worth it half the time!!! xx

    Hiya, popping in to subscribe. I've never been confident enough to wear a bikini but going to the Dominican Republic in May on my honeymoon and I'd LOVE to be comfortable enough with myself to wear one... not sure it's going to happen though lol!

    Hey hun I'm 5ft 2 last summer I was 10st 8.. I slimmed down before my holiday in Thailand lost a total of 2st before my holiday and abit more afterwards ;) I'm currently addicted to the gym!! :p
