Low GI Diet & alcohol

Hi.. I've been on a low GI diet for 2 mths now.
I'm on it not to lose wt, but to reduce insulin spikes which I've read are pretty nasty on the body.

The thing is, I lurve my beer and red wine but I've found that my body's not able to handle them like it used to.. in fact, I've been getting nauseas from just drinking two glasses of beer :(

Has anyone else experienced the same? Any ideas what's happening here?

Hi - I have found similar - not so much nauseous, but the alcohol has an effect much more quickly, 2 glasses of wine is plenty!
I guess the body gets used to a sensible level of sugar, and then it gets a bit freaked out when we shovel a load in.
