Here goes, decided to do a diary for induction to make sure I'm doing it right!!!

Monday 28th March 2011
Day 4 Induction

B - 2 x Sainsburys Taste the difference Pork & Herb sausage (1.8c) 1 x boiled egg

Snack - 2 x chicken thighs & pepperami (0.6c) Cup of bovril (0.4c)

Lunch - 2oz Lettuce, 2 oz cucumber 2 spring onions, 1/2 oz grated cheese & tinned mackerel in hot chilli dressing (5c Salad)

Tea - Atkins pizza & salad. Jelly & Cream

Approx 5 pints of decaffinated tea (Yes pints I have a very large cup) 2 pints of water

Yes plse need details and an update - craving pizza so all succesful recipe outcomes appreciated!

I make mine as it shows on Lindas website. The base is made with cream cheese, eggs, parmasan, mozzerella, garlic powder & oregano. Really nice makes quite a big pizza @ 2 net carbs per serving and serves 8 or so it says. Mine serves 4 so 4 net carbs per serving but well worth it!!!

Will try!!! If you look on the link above click on the recipe tab and look at main dishes, pork lamb & pizza go down to the pizza and the recipe & picture is on the deep dish pizza.

It looks lush on there thats why I gave it a go. Mine looks nearly the same!!!

Day 5 Induction

Snack - 1 x boiled egg (0.6c) & mini pepperami (0.2c) Cup of bovril (0.4c)

Lunch - 2oz Lettuce, 1.5 oz cucumber 2 spring onions, 1/2 oz grated cheese 3 radishes, ham & 2 x chicken thighs (2.5c Salad)

Tea - Chicken wrapped in bacon & salad. Jelly & Cream

Approx 5 pints of decaffinated tea, 4 pints of water.

Still not in ketosis yet, hope it hurries up only lost 2lb not sure why.

Wednesday 30th March 2011
Day 6 Induction

B - 1 x boiled egg, 2 x Asda 97% Gluten Free Sausages 0c

Snack - 1 x Boiled egg (0.6c) & pepperami (0.6c) Cup of bovril (0.4c)

Lunch - 2oz Lettuce, 2 oz cucumber 2 spring onions, 1/2 oz grated cheese Atkins Pizza (5c whole meal)

Tea - Pork chops, broccoli, cabbage mixed with 2 x shallots (shared with partner) with sauce made of cream & philli with black pepper (not sure of carbs but about 2c. Jelly & Cream

Approx 5 pints of decaffinated tea 4 pints of water.

Day 6 and still no ketosis!!! Is this normal???

are you drinking lots of water. Noticed any metalic taste in your mouth? The first time i did atkins and got into ketosis it took me around 7 days and an evil bout of atkins+normal flu LOL. Now it takes me about 3 days. Have no fear your menus sounds great you will get in soon x

The stix don't work for everyone - are you hungry or is your appetite decreased? You don't need to be in ketosis to loose weight, so how do the scales look?

I never used the sticks, just went by the other signs as Sticky has pointed out

i am drinking approx 5 pints of decaffinated tea and 4 pints of water a day.

Have felt kind of drained a couple of days but have noticed a slight decrease in my appetite. Not sure what metalic taste is but no real tastes other than the worry of bad breath.

Rosebug,

Not sure what the scales say weigh in day is Friday and I have got in the habit due to Slimming World not to weigh before then. Will let you know but I don't feel like I have lost any weight.

Well we'll just have to see but like I said the stix say no ketosis.:cry:
