Minced beef!

Hi,

I have some low fat mince beef to make some spag Bol (not had since last year! Wow)

Anyway I know for it to be free it needs 5% or less fat!
Do you work this from fat content or saturated fat content.

For example my mince has 7g fat per 100g
Which makes it 2.5 syns per 100g.

Or do I use the saturated fat to figure out the fat %

Hope that makes sense. Not too bothered about giving it a syn as I have loads of veg to go in, herbs from garden, toms from garden. I also drain as much fat as i can before adding any sauce. I just havnt used mince in that long I forgot how to do fat %
 
Use the fat content, not saturated fat. Fat is fat unfortunately!
 
I only eat mince about once a week anyway so I tend to just buy lean (extra lean is so expensive!!) have a sensible amount, drain it well and call it good :) the % thing confuses me too much to mess about with.
