Motivated Mums TTC Weight Loss Diary

Hi everyone, I am a long time lurker first time poster!
I am 23 and have a gorgeous 5 year old daughter. We have been TTC since she was a newborn with no luck :(
We are undergoing lots of tests and we are awaiting our first appointment with the infertility clinic. I weighed in this morning at 301 lbs :cry: and know the clinic will not offer us any kind of treatment unless my bmi is 30 or under :eek: I am trying to get orlistat on prescription to aid my weight loss and have 4 weeks to prove myself until they consider prescribing it to me.
The nurse has set me a target of losing 6lbs in the next 2 weeks which I feel fairly confident about doing.
I have tried several diet plans in the past but this time I am just going to eat healthily and exercise daily.
I would love to make some friends along my long weight loss journey :eek:

Update: My current target is to reach a bmi of 37 by my next infertility clinic appointment in 16 weeks time. Taking it one step at a time :)

Ok so todays food diary looks like:

Breakfast: Banana and a few grapes

Dinner: Ham & tomato sandwich on 50/50 bread with a slither of LF mayo & black pepper. 2 19 cal crispbreads with LF garlic and herb spread.

Tea: Small portion of coq au vin with new potatoes. 88 cal choc mousse.

Snacks: Few grapes, bowl of cornflakes with raisins and semi skimmed milk.

Drinks: Water, NAS squash & 1 cup of tea with sweetener and semi skimmed milk.
 
Today we have had an awful appointment at the infertility clinic, feeling so low and for the first time ever instead of reaching for the crisps I have struggled having any appetite at all. So todays food diary is:

Breakfast: Small banana.

Dinner: Half a ham and tomato sandwich, 1 crispbread with garlic and herb spread.

Tea: Homemade chicken curry with rice and naan bread.

Snacks: 8 grapes. 2 slices of toast & marmalade.

Drinks: Water, 1 cup of tea.

Dinner: Ham & tomato sandwich, 2 crispbreads

Tea: Half a grilled chicken breast on a small wholemeal roll with salad, 4 onion rings and 2 jalapeno peppers. Small 'frube' yoghurt.

Snacks: Melon, cornflakes with raisins, 1 raisin biscuit.

Drinks: NAS squash, water, tea with semi skimmed milk.

Today wasn't a great day as we were out most of the afternoon so tea wasn't great for the weight loss!

Breakfast: Nothing.

Dinner: Ham sandwich with 2 crispbreads.

Tea: Small portion of chips with curry sauce.

Snacks: Noodles. 1 slice of toast with marmalade, 2 satsumas.

Drinks: NAS Squash, water, tea, horlicks.

Breakfast: Alpen light summer fruits cereal bar.

Dinner: Small chicken salad wrap.

Tea: Chilli with quorn mince, rice and a small portion of corn bread. Melon and raspberries.

Snacks: 4 fruit pastilles.

Drinks: NAS squash, water, horlicks.

Dinner: 8 ritz crackers with garlic spread and ham. Grapes.

Tea: Chicken & cous cous salad with low fat french dressing and a small sprinkling of cheese, 88 cal choc mousse.

Snacks: Cornflakes with semi skimmed milk.

Drinks: Water, tea.

Tea: 8 Ritz crackers with ham and cheese, low fat yoghurt.

Snacks: Small candy cane, 2 slices of toast with marmalade, sugar free jelly.

Drinks: NAS squash, water.

Well today was weigh in and I lost 5lbs :clap: SO shocked as I've been poorly all week and haven't done much exercise! Really motivated now and starting to believe that I can actually do this !

Todays food diary looks like:

Breakfast - Nothing

Dinner - Ham and tomato sandwich, 2 crispbreads (surprise surprise!)

Tea - Rice with chicken, onions, peppers, bean sprouts & prawns.

Snacks - Cornflakes, sugar free Jelly

Drinks - Water, NAS Squash, Tea, Horlicks.

Aw thank you :) I had been panicking about my food diary all week picking at it lol but it seems to have worked so far! Even though I lost 5lbs the nurse still told me to watch my portion size lol! I eat smallish portions anyway so I'm certainly not going to starve myself! Apparently she is not going to prescribe me orlistat as I a doing ok on my own but if I have a dip where my loss slows down then she may prescribe. Touch wood I may be on target for a BMI of 37 for our next infertility appointment in 16 weeks!


Breakfast: Nothing.

Dinner: BLT with 2 crispbakes.

Tea: Tuna pasta.

Snacks: 1 miniature twirl, 1 clementine, cornflakes.

Drinks: NAS Squash, tea.

I have updated my statistics as my current goal is to get my BMI to 37 for tests I need. Obviously my ultimate goal bmi is lower but 1 step at a time eh :)

Tea: Mcdonalds chicken burger & fries (!!!)

Snacks: Rice krispies.

Drinks: Diet coke, water, horlicks, tea.

Today was a really rushed day as we were out, I was so starving come tea time I should have opted for a salad but the chicken burger looked so scrummy! I have to say it was worth it - yum! I've really not felt like eating much at all the past couple of weeks I have been ill though so that's probably why. I think I may do a couple of days on slimfast until I am feeling a little better x

Dinner: 2 slices of toast with boiled eggs.

Tea: Spaghetti with tomatoes peppers and 3 small meatballs, choc ice.

Snacks: 2 Crispbakes.

Drinks: Water, NAS Squash, Tea.
