My first weigh in this evening! Arggghhhh!

I have my first weigh in tonight! I'm really nervous! I don't know why but I feel like I haven't lost anything, probably because I haven't once gone hungry. My first day was Friday and unfortunately I had friends over for the weekend so I was sensible - I swapped the red wine I love to drink for vodka and diet coke BUT I had 10 of these on both Friday and Saturday which is well over my syns allowance. To make up for it I have only had 0 - 5 syns every day since so I'm hoping that wont have ruined it for me. I've eaten lots of veg, more than I would every normally and have been trying my best to make my meals of the success express type instead of extra easy again in a bid to make up for my socialising. Wish me luck everyone!
 
Good luck, I think having 5 syns a day after going over with drink is a good idea and well done on changing your usual drink to something more syn friendly. Hopefully you'll still have a good loss, if not just stick with it and stick to 5 - 15 syns this week :)
 
Go easy on yourself! I think the first few weeks are about finding your feet and seeing what works for you. I was genuinely devastated when I lost 2.5lbs at my first weigh-in and then a total of nothing in Week 2 and 1/2lb in Week 3. :argh: It took me a few weeks to see what I need to do in order to lose the 2lbs a week I aim for, and that includes regular exercise!

As such, your approach of having two boozy nights and then being really strict for the rest of the week might suit you or it could have sabotaged your progress. You won't know until you tweak the plan to suit your needs and lifestyle. The only advice I would give is don't go under 5 Syns a day, the minimum is there for good reason.

Also, best of luck this evening! You might be delighted with the number on the scales! x
 
Thanks AbFab! It's not a normal thing for me to have boozy weekends it was just bad timing really for when I decided to start and then my friends coming to stay! I was quite pleased with myself, cooked us all a SW sweet and sour chicken (which no-one knew was SW) and as far as food went I was really well behaved when normally in the presence of friends I'd be scoffing cheese boards and chocolates (and to be fair, the others were and I still resisted!). I did everyone sausage sandwiches for breakkie the next day but I had quorn sausages and a boiled egg. I'm gonna walk to the weigh in tonight which will give me half an hour exercise and am going to try hard to do more each week. I think that's going to help more than anything
 
Well you sound like you've been doing amazingly well! It takes a lot of willpower to resist so much temptation and it sounds like you totally got in the zone with making healthy choices! You certainly deserve a good loss! Hope it goes well for you.
 
Nothing I hate more than starting Sw and drinking in my start week! All well and good while I'm drunk but I worry until weigh day lol. I'm sure you'll still get a loss. Good luck
 
Thanks JD. It's a shame alcohol is so "expensive" in syns! Mind you, I did used to enjoy a glass of red every evening when I got home so this has cut that right out which can only be a good thing :)

The first time I went to SW I felt like a naughty kid in a school line and nearlly turned round to go home and the first few did not get any better.
My first 2 were 1lb losses then nothing and then 3lbs, everybody is different.

I know ur disappointed but just keep going.
A lot of people don't loose much in first wk + then get huge loss 2nd wk so cud be ur bodies just adjusting.
But well done on ur food/drink choices in wk 1
