My March food diary :)

    Hi all, I haven't done a food diary since I started sw and luckily I haven't needed to do one since - I'm keeping pretty much on track. But I'm gonna start one from tomorrow. I do green days as I'm a veggie and tend to make the same stuff for dinner on rotation (!) superspeed soup for lunches but I dont really keep a running tally of my syns so this will be quite useful for me. Any advice or tips welcome :)

    Green day

    Breakfast
    Half cantaloupe melon chopped up, chopped up banana, strawberries, sweetened ff fromaig frais.

    Lunch
    Superspeed soup.

    Dinner
    Spaghetti bolognese with quorn mince (2 onions, garlic, carrot, red pepper, red chilli, mushrooms, vegetable stock, tinned tomatoes, 2 tbsp tomato puree ( half syn due to amount made!), dried spaghetti) 3 slices of tescos light choices garlic bread (2 syns each). Sprinkle of Parmesan (hea 1)

    Snacks
    Orange, plum, 3 cups of tea (using 2nd hea allowance)


    Total syns: 6.5 syns

    2x weetabix with 200ml semi skimmed milk (hea 1 & heb 1)

    Lunch
    Banana
    Tin Spaghetti hoops

    Dinner
    Rest of spaghetti Bol, which I made yesterday with dried spaghetti (1/2 syn)

    Snacks
    Orange
    Plum
    4 x Cups of tea (using rest of hea 1 and some hea 2 allowance)
    2 x alpen light bars (orange and chocolate) (using heb 2)
    Curly wurly (6 syns)

    Total syns: 6.5

    Green Day

    Ps. Had mum in law round for tea so went all out(!)

    Breakfast
    2 weetabix with 200ml semi skimmed milk ( heb 1 & part of hea 1)

    Lunch
    Rest of bolognese ( it's now finally finished) and boiled rice

    Dinner
    Vegetable curry (veg stock, onions, garlic, Ginger, various spices, cauliflower, broccoli, red pepper, orange pepper, mushrooms and potatoes, stirred in fresh coriander and ff natural yoghurt at the end (and yoghurt separated!)).
    Boiled rice.
    1/2 tescos finest peshwari naan (8.5 syns)

    Mint vienetta for dessert (9 syns)

    Snacks
    Muller light yoghurt - cherry flavour
    3 apples
    Banana
    2 x alpen light bar - chocolate orange & apple and sultana (heb 2)
    5 x tea with milk ( using rest of hea 1 and some hea 2)

    Total syns for day:
    17.5

    18 syns = total for day....forgot about my half syn in the bolognese sauce!!!!

    its easy to forget about the syns isnt it! Might try that one myself but I cant see anyone being bored enough to read what I have to say lol.

    Keep it just for you though... And if others pick up tips it's a plus. Eg I found out that you have to syn asda passata while looking on someones food diary!!

    Same here... The asda make and some others have olive oil in them so need to be synned... I dont think it's much though - I think half syn for a standard portion. As my portions are not exactly standard it may make all the difference! Lol My tescos one and plain napolina is free though...

    2 x weetabix and 200 ml semi skimmed milk ( heb 1 and part of hea 1)

    Lunch
    Superspeed soup (full of lentils and beans and some veg)

    Dinner
    SW wedges, quorn sausages, peas, carrots, rest of leftover curry sauce from last night - very very yummy! 1tbsp ketchup(1 syn)

    Snacks
    Half bounty bar (7 syns)
    2 alpen light bars ( heb 2)
    Curly wurly (6 syns)
    Half cantaloupe melon
    Orange
    2 x coffees, 1 x tea using milk from rest of hea 1 and hea 2.

    Total syns for the day: 14 syns

    That's strange! I bought the new food directory at class on Wednesday and I'm pretty sure the asda brand passata is in the superfree section of that!!

    SW chips & quorn burger in a 57g wholemeal bap (heb 2) topped with Onion, Cajun spice, 26g grated cheddar cheese (hea 2) and tbsp ketchup (1 syn)

    Curly wurly (6 syns)
    Quavers (5 syns)
    28g plain popcorn (6.5 syns)
    2 x tea with rest of hea 1 allowance

    Total syns: 27.5 syns :(

    And here's the line I've just drawn under that day

    Lunch
    2 boiled eggs and 1 slice of wholemeal bread (heb 1)

    Dinner
    Pasta with roasted cherry tomato, red onion, garlic, red chilli and Worcester sauce. Sprinkled with cheddar cheese (hea 1)

    Dessert
    2 x low fat cadburys chocolate mousses (6 syns)

    Snacks
    Dominos potato wedges (5.5 syns)
    2 oranges
    Grapes
    2 x Tea with milk (from hea 2)

    Total syns: 11.5 syns

    Rest of pasta (and it's gone!) with more cheddar cheese ( another 15g) rest of hea 1&2

    Snacks
    Alpen light bar (heb 2)
    Grapes
    Apple
    2 x teas and 1x coffee with milk (1.5 syns)

    Total syns for day: 1.5 syns
