After giving myself a firm talking to a few weeks back and going right back to basics, I've managed to kick start my losses. I'm can feel myself slipping again by not planning and writing my meals, so here's hoping this will help me out!

Can't fit them in my sig yet, but so far my losses (and maintains, and gains...) have been -

I'm off work all summer, so finding it easier to stick to plan at the moment.

SO today has been a Green Day.

Breakfast/Brunch - 1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (HEx B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEx A), strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener

Tea - 2 Quorn fillets in passata with courgette, onion and mushrooms, with boiled rice.

Snacks - Hifi bar (HEx B), peach, satsumas.

Thanks :) My tea was a huge plateful, and I've had a shockingly lazy day so haven't really needed much food to keep me going today!

Friday 30th July [strike]Extra Easy[/strike] Green

Breakfast

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (HEx B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEx A), strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener

Lunch

SW onion & Quorn bacon quiche, mushrooms and salad

Tea

[STRIKE]Chinese takeaway - chicken and beef with mushrooms (10 syns), egg fried rice (8 syns)[/STRIKE]

So annoyed. Had a small gathering at a friend's house, plan was to get a takeaway. So I planned this into my day, worked out what would be a sensible option without feeling deprived, etc, and didn't have eat between lunch and going. Arrived and was told that we weren't bothering with Chinese, but instead were having 'nibbles'. So, despite resisting for a good half hour whilst everyone else ate, my hunger took over and I chomped through half a massive bag of dorito-type crisps and dip, and handfuls of sweets. Didn't even enjoy it, and don't even know where to start guesstimating the syns :(

Snacks

Strawberries and a Hifi bar (HEx B) (to make me feel slightly healthier/fuller after my binge)

Saturday 31st July Red

Breakfast

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (HEx B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (HEx A), strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener

Lunch

Leftover SW onion & Quorn bacon quiche

Tea

Wholemeal pasta (HEx B + 2.5 syns) with tuna, onion, courgettes, mushrooms and carrots in chopped tomatoes.

Hi Laura,

Can I ask why you made today a red day when you havnt had much meaty stuff? Im getting confused on what days to pick myself!

I just wanted to limit my carbs really! I could have had green and HEx'd/synned the tuna just as easily as it turned out, but I would have had approximately half a ton of pasta (I struggle massively with portion control!) I probably could have swapped the day before for red as well to be fair.

I find green days much easier because I love my potatoes and pasta, but still have this psychological block that carby days will make me lose less (although I'm still having good losses since changing to red/green with probably more green), so when I can fit it in, I'll try red and HEx/syn my carbs. Hope my ramblings make some kind of sense?! :)


Today will be Extra Easy, as much as possible. I'm working away for two weeks, and food options are limited to say the least. I've discussed with my C, and I'll be having cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch, then go with the flow in the evenings. So technically I'll be off-plan, but trying to limit the potential damage!

Lunch

Not sure yet - possibly an omelette? with salad

Honestly? Probably £80 worth of KFC. Not all for me, obviously...

Ahhhhhhhhh!! Terrible week. Stuck to damage limitation for all of a day before the temptation of lovely, warm, syn-loaded food got to me. Meals have included:

Surf and turf
Cottage pie loaded with cheese
Chicken pie
Lasagne
Burger
Gammon and chips
Pizza
Chinese
Cadbury's caramel nibbles (BIG bag)

Drinks have included wine, pimms and lemonade, and coffee with sugar - just because I couldn't be bothered to go get my sweetener out of my handbag!! All in the space of six days.

Bad, bad times. Wii Fit says I've gained 4lb already! Need to pull it back next week, but really don't know how I'm going to resist all the temptations for a whole week!

Back on plan from today. Going to try and do all red from today until weigh-in.

Tuesday 14th August Red

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (Hex B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (Hex A), strawberries, banana and blueberries with sweetener.

7 Guylian chocolates (given as a present, may as well get them eaten and out of the way on the week I know I'm going to gain!), no idea of syns as I've missed two WIs so haven't got the password :(

1 grilled chicken breast with grilled mushrooms and a cheese and onion omelette (Hex A)

Sunday 15th August Greenish

Breakfast

Two slices of brown toast (Hex B) with beans & mushrooms

Lunch

Jacket potato with tuna mayo (Hex B + 4 syns?) and side salad

Tea

Quorn pasta bolognese with 3 babybel light (Hex A)

Strawberries with 2 Scanbran (2 syns) and Choc Orange Muller Light


Struggling a bit after being off plan for two weeks, really tempting to just write it off until weigh-in, but trying my best! Also finding it hard without the SW password to get my syns and food diary online - I will get 100% back on track after Wednesday WI.

Feeling positive today, been for a big food shop to restock the fridge and fruit bowl!

Monday 16th August Red

Breakfast

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (Hex B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (Hex A, strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener.

Had breakfast quite late, and been busy all afternoon, so having a maaaassive tea...!

Tea

Beef steak with cheesy stuffed mushrooms (1/3 Hex A), grilled onion and cherry tomatoes. With a frylight egg on top.

Never made stuffed mushrooms before - mixed up some garlic, red onion, herbs and the mushroom stalks, and topped with 1 babybel light. Fingers crossed!!

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (Hex B) with semi-skimmed milk (1.5 Hex A), strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener

Tea

Steamed herby chicken, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and babycorn with cheesy stuffed mushrooms (0.5 Hex A)

Muller light with two Alpen Light (Hex B)

Weigh in tomorrow, ready for it - starting to miss syns after cutting back since Saturday!!

Wednesday 18th August Red

Breakfast

1 Weetabix/4 Scanbran (Hex B) with 250ml semi-skimmed milk (Hex A), strawberries, blueberries, banana and sweetener

Snack

Hifi bar (Hex B)
Packet of Munchies (13.5 syns) and literally a couple of nachos/three bits of popcorn at the cinema (Allowing 1.5 syns)

Tea

Chicken, bacon, mushroom, babycorn and onion quiche (nom nom) with salad (1/3 Hex A cheese on top)

Weigh in was tonight, and I maintained!! So, so chuffed after all the rubbish I've eaten and drank the last two weeks. Back to green tomorrow, missing my carbs, and will be welcoming syns back into my life!

Lunch

SW macaroni cheese (Hex A + 3 syns)
Melon & satsuma

Snack

Banana and strawberries, choc orange Muller Light & choc fudge Alpen Light


Shouldn't have had those Munchies last night, I've reignited my sweet tooth and I'm craving like mad :(

Saturday 21st August Green

Breakfast

Frankie and Benny's - Philly steak bake. Can't find nutritional info, so guesstimating Hex B steak, pasta, red onion and cheese sauce (allowing 15 syns)

Krispy Kreme doughnut... 'Chocolate Dreamcake' - 358 calories = guesstimated 18 syns!! It was good, but not THAT good!

Tea

Strawberries with Muller Light, satsuma, Hifi bar (Hex B)

I've never even seen Krispy Kreme doughnuts before (sheltered life?), thought it was just an American thing. It was lush, but I'm not a massive doughnut fan so don't think I'd spend 18 syns on it again!!

Chicken pie (arrrgh) with roast potatoes and peas. Probably vastly overestimated at 20ish syns, but would rather overestimate than under!
