hi about 3 years ago i developed a illness which has left me severely disabled , was put on painkillers called gabapentin and have balooned to 22 stone from 16 , i eat very little usualy salad and tuna , nothing greasy or fattening i cant seem to drop the weight and yesterday was told by my surgeon i need to be at 14st in 3 and a half months this weight is near impossible for me as when i was 16 stone i didnt have a pinch of fat on me , ive tried slimming patches diet pills etc but with no joy anyone have any advice ?:sigh:

Have you thought about doing a vlcd (very low calorie diet) such as Lighterlife or Cambridge?
These sorts of diets are there for quick weight loss as long as you have the will power to do them!
And surely your surgeon doesn't really expect you to drop from 22st-14 in just 3 months, that's pretty much impossible I think. If you feel that weight is too low for you then have a chat with the surgeon and tell him that's not an achievable weight for you.
