Hi

I am doing the slimming world at home also due to work and family it is difficult to get to class.
I am almost down to 12 now as well hopefully by the end of the month. I am 12s 4 but I have come down from just over 13 and I want to be 10 stone too.

I am doing mostly red and green days I can't seem to limit myself on extra easy. What plan are you doing? Everyone on here is really supportive and they give some really good tips. There are also some good recipes. One thing I have learnt is to have some variety and not to eat the same food everyday.

I'm doing surprisingly well ? struggling to use syns to be honest. Once all the fruit and veg gone out of fridge it may be a different story! And only on day 3 so we'll see... But staying optimistic.

I did SW a few years back with OH and didn't struggle one bit and I was alot thinner then!

We can do this and let's hope to get into the 11's very soon. My treat is staying in a nice hotel the day before I fly in September. Nat xxx

I'm trying to figure it all out still, i have been doing extra easy for last week but like u i dont know when to stop. I enjoy my cups of tea and its hard limiting the milk on them. I really need to review some food diaries and get back on track.

What are your downfalls? I love crisps and like an odd beer or two lol

You have done a great job so far, keep up the good work x

That actually sounds like a plan, maybe I should try it. So far today I have had, 2 weetabix and some melon, i am going to have a steak and salad for dinner and tonight. I am just back from the gym (1st day) so hopefully i can keep it up lol. You are right to treat yourself, i plan on doing the same in Oct. My aim is to lose 10lbs by Oct 15th so fingers crossed ;)

Sounds great! Well done for gym. If it's your first time going to the gym in a while don't be disheartened if weight loss is slow due to building muscle etc, I was but my boyf reassured me and then I started to see I was toning up.

Can't wait for my red weekend! Love carbs in the week as they are comforting and so easy to make! But red = BBQ, BBQ, BBQ!!!! xx

Sounds like you are both doing well I am doing red and green every other day in the week and mainly red on the weekend as I love my bacon sandwich on Sat morning and a roast on a sunday.

My downfalls are I like a beer but I have not touched one apart for when I my holiday which was off plan. I am now drinking just wine and vodka. I sound like an alcoholic but I only have a few on the weekend to relax when not in work.
My other downfalls are eating out in restaurants which we have cut down on which is good now we are trying to save alittle and the saturday night treats such as a takeaway or a pizza.

So for such a long post. I've generally had a good week. How have you been this week and have you lost?

Hi everyone,

Mind if I join in on the bandwagon? Like Happyem72 I'm trying to do it at home as I dont have the time or pennies to really go to classes so I could benefit from a bit of moral support and egging on really. Plus I'm new here so could do with making some friends!

I'm currently 11st10 so around about the same weight as you - was at the 12 stone mark but lost a few pounds just through calorie counting and depriving myself. Decided to go back on SW to give it some structure and so I could eat yummy things without feeling guilty.

Hoping to get to the 10stone mark by April next year - secretly I would like it to be a lot sooner but think that's a pipe dream.

I'm always really good on the plans for the 1st 2-3 weeks and then I just get a bit lazy and start to drift off into an extra syn here and there and low and behold the target never happens.

I'm also doing the gym and I don't know why I'm worried that this will slow down my weightloss (seems a bit backwords) but I am. Think it might be something to do with muscle being heavier than fat that gets branded around all the time.

I'm trying to do extra-easy days, but I find I struggle to have the healthy extra's on these days and don't know if that will stop me loosing? Sometimes at the end of the day when i've not had any b choice healthy extra's I just switch it to a green day so i'm covered but not sure that's how its supposed to work really!

Anyway - well done on your progress so far, you sound really motivated and up for it - you'll be skinny minnies in no time if you keep up the hard work! :)

Well girls... 12.2 last monday morning, this morning..... 11.11 :D:D:D reslly happy. Only 7lbs till club10 target for holiday!

It was my first 'proper' week so it was expected I think. Done green all week and the weekend was red/EE! And resisting lots of naughty things!!!

The saturday weigh in will prob work great! I do it on a monday as all weekend has to be spot on! xxx

Oh that's actually a good point about making yourself be good over the weekend - I'm kind of hoping that if I W/I on a saturday and have lost then I'll not be too bad and undo it all on Saturday night (although having a big party next sat so probably not the best time to start with copious amounts of booze to be consumed there)

Aiming for 3lbs this week - feels ambitious but I have booked in to go to the gym 4 times this weeks so if I stick to plan and exercise it should be achievable (fingers crossed)

Mmm booze! Did have a glass of sparkling on sat night but syn'd it!

Gym sounds great, I'm gonna do some running this week I think :( it kills me but it's worth it. I love going swimming alot more now too. What do you do at the gym?

Just had my dinner and I'm stuffed now. Had cous cous with celery, tomato, carrot and cucumber, mixed with feta and hot chilli sauce. OH has a theory chilli sauce will get my metabolism going! Had it all last week so it can only help. Also had a big orange and a coconut muller! Xx

Well I was quite into my wee gym routine before I went on holiday but I've totally lost the will with it now, went back yesterday to Body pump and feeling every muscle today, gonna grit my teeth and bear it though. Here's the plan for the week:

Monday: Body pump and 30 mins walk on treadmill (probably a few situps too)
Tuesday: walk with friends
Wednesday:Body pump and treadmill
Thursday: Tums and Bums class and treadmill
Friday: Just gym session - maybe treadmill, cross trainer sit ups etc

Weekend off

Think your OH may be onto something there - it's not the first time I've heard it mentioned - sounds like a good lunch too. I had left over leek and pea pasta with garlic and herb philly (in the whole pot yesterday I had 60g of philly which I think can be a HEb on Green/EE so not sure if I need to syn for it today gonna count them anyway)
and then strawberries and blackberrries with yoghurt.

Feeling rather smug with myself today actually - 3rd day on plan and still being good - need to cut down on the synning so that I can save for saturday as that will be a blow out! :sigh:

Hi everyone,

How did the rest of your day go?

I think I was ok yesterday - quite a lot of syns by the time I had pesto cod with spring onion mash and vine tomatoes (4 syns in the pesto) but was yummy

Also managed to go to the gym so in my head I burned off some of the syns :)

Everyone feeling optimistic about today???
