Hope you're OK - keep up the good work! It's hard to keep motivated when it's so cold and wet (and snowy!) but keep on the right track!! Treat yourself to a lovely bath or a good DVD, and in the words of the advert - because you're worth it!

I feel like crying today. If anyone says anything to me I think I will burst into tears. I'll have to be careful becasue when I feel like this I usually eat. I have decided that if I am not going to stick in 100% there is not point continuing. So, that's it - got to be 100% SS. Last night (and some nights last week) I had Quality Street chocolates. I am going to call home now and tell my daughter to hide them so I can't find them.

I've just started SS on monday so far so good but when ever i feel a bit hungry or low i just drink water and come on here seem to do the trick especially when i look at the Slideshow :wow:..... Everyone Looks Great (GOOD LUCK) x

Started SS yesterday... so hard cooking dinner for the family, the temptation when ravenous is immense, but I have to stick at this. Nibbling on something only makes the hunger worse so there's no point - I have least learned this about myself.

Dont let it get you down hun, the best thing that helped me in the first few weeks was thinking about the the end results and all the new things i'll be able to buy. seeing the weight loss each week will also put a smile on your face. just think positive!

Well, I have bu****ed up another day :(. This afternoon after 2.5 litres of water, a vanilla shake and a cup of boullion I thought I was going to faint with hunger. I got home, after asking my daughter to hide the tin of weeks, to find the tin 'hidden' on the kitchen table. Not satisfied with eating 10 sweets I then opened a big tin of red salmon and at the lot finished off with a nice big bowl of Alpen. I want to cry. I wasn't doing marvellous, but that's the first time I have had a big cheat. Just trying to talk myself out of quitting altogether now

Oh Mia stick with it luvvi. Today may be ruined but it's only one day out of your entire life - it doesn't have to ruin tomorrow or the day after unless you choose for it to...

Go and chuck those Quality Street out so they can't tempt you anymore - what's a couple of £'s of choccies "wasted" compared with the cost of the CD packs? Your family are obviously not bothered about the choccies or they'd be all gone by now so don't worry about having to keep them in the house for your family.

Once you give yourself a fighting chance you will be in ketosis in no time which will stop the physical hunger and this time in a week you could be half a stone down...keep going xxx

Thank you Serena, I have done it before and I know I can do it again, but it's so hard. I am finding it more difficult second time around. I just couldn't face more liquid!!! I know I have to get into it 100% but the hunger was killing me tonight

Could you try starting on a higher step then working back down to SS? I guess you are probably impatient to get going asap but if the hunger has been tripping you up day after day it may be worth you trying a different strategy. You know what they say "if you always do what you've always done..." and all that. xx

Hi Mia, I agree with Serena. YOU CAN DO THIS.......go round the house and gather up all those leftover Choccies and either take them into the office (they'll get hoovered up in no time) or just chuck them out. Drinking the water has helped me - especially sparkling water - at least it feels like I'm having something fizzy rather than my beloved diet coke! :)

I can't work my way down the steps becasue a) I don't have the time and b) I can't have food in my mouth/stomach becasue it is too tempting, it is better is sustain from food altogether. I am going to see my daughter tonight and if she wants the sweets she'll have to move them, if not I will take them to work. Starting from NOW I have to stick in - I just have to

Hiya, I don't necessarily mean weeks on 1000, then 810 etc etc, just a few days on general low carb to get into ketosis and then you can hit SS with a vengeance without the hunger to throw you off track. Because - and I don't mean this to be rude at all - what has changed for you to be successful at yet another attempt at diving straight back onto SS? You have already lost quite a few days trying it that way...maybe SS+ the non-food version with 4 packs & milk might help - losses really are comparible to SS. Best of luck whatever you decide though xxx

Thanks for your support ladies. I am going to try and stick with the SS, oh and Juey, I would buy flowers but I can't afford them on this bloody diet haha :)

Keep at it Mia - we're all with you. Chuck out the temptation - simple as that. It won't be the last time you can have them, remember. It's what I tell myself everytime I fancy something I've just prepared for the family. The more we stick at this, the sooner it'll all be over.
Don't be hard on yourself - it's not easy right now, but I have a sense it's going to get easier!

You CAN do it - try by doing it slowly over the day. After every hour take note and praise yourself. If you succeed tomorrow, on your way home why not buy some flowers for yourself.:flowers: That'll cheer you up and is better than rewarding yourself with food!!

Think of tomorrow as another start - let us all know how you got on xx
A guy in my weight loss group says he thinks of the movie Groundhog Day. Wake up and do it again. That really works for me. In fact when I was off work for 3 wks during the holidays it really threw me off as I had so much idle time on my hands. Too bad I tried to keep busy by going shopping. Another addiction developing? I hope not! At least I try to get the most stuff (clothes)I can for as little $ as possible. lol

Glad to be back in my routine.

chin up, mia! it is really tough to restart, i am now on my third attempt but will do it this time. the hunger is really hard and the habit of eating is so strong. i am only on day 4 now and have had episodes of light-headedness and feeling very faint or hot and sweaty.
your body and minds natural reaction to feeling that way is to eat, like having a low blood sugar and having a mars bar to pick it up...

we just need to slog on these first few days and after a week or two, things WILL get easier

Well another day!!! I have had 1 litre of water already and feel ok, but it's only 10.30 a.m. and am usually very good until I get home at about 5.30 - 6.00 p.m. My bad time is between 6.00 - 7.00 (I have my tea at 7.00), then from about 8.00 - 9.00 (I have my supper at 9.00).

The sweets have gone so if I want chocolate I will have to literally go and buy it. I have given myself ANOTHER good talking to so I am going to really try to be 100% today. I still feel really down and could cry at a drop of a hat, but I have to keep going. I just wish that I had not put it all back on after the last time I lost it - I'm just a greedy pig.
