Hello everyone,

Today I'm joining you on a journey to loose the long dreaded weight with Lipotrim. To introduce myself: I'm tall, vegetarian, on a completely gluten free diet for the past 6 months, lost my sweet tooth about 3 months ago (probably related to gluten free diet), so haven't had much sugar either, I don't smoke or drink much, don't like fatty foods (they actually make me feel sick, probably due to celiac disease) and have over 5 stones of weight to loose. I'd love to go back to my weight from about 6-7 years ago - 62-64kg, when I was actually happy with myself.

I'm 33 and really can't deal with this weight anymore and with the fact that I really don't do anything anymore as I'm so embarrassed because of my weight.....After couple of weeks of researching the diets I have came across Lipotrim. The thing that really did it for me was the medical supervision aspect as I'm very health aware and don't want to do anything that can potentially harm me. I actually have an extremely healthy diet, but due to getting fatter and fatter progressively over the past 6-7 years (probably from previously undiagnosed celiac disease.....and docs playing around with my hormones....) it seems that my weight just seems to stay the same. I know that I don't exercise, which doesn't help either but I am hoping that once I loose about 1 stone exercise will get little easier. I have very bad back so I need to be careful with what I do.

I'm pretty scared because I know that some people have lots of bad side effects. But I'm more fearful of loosing out on another 6-7 years of life and waking up when I'm over 40, single, childless, fat and very miserable. I've tried to be happy and accept myself the way I am but it just doesn't work, since I don't want to have this body.

So lipotrim friends, I know I will need you :p on my journey to regain back my wonderful, happy, sexy life.......

Hiya and welcome.....this diet is fab as long as you are 100%......make sure you drink around 3 litres of water a day as it helps keep headaches at bay...if you do get a headache though just use your usual painkiller.....
I found I had to add more water to my drinks for my taste as I found them to much but I made mine with just under 1 pint...and kept a 2 litre bottle in the fridge, as it had to be chilled water.

Give all flavours a try as at first you may not be keen but you do get used to them....even love them...lol.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing how you get on.x

Hi Neem,
Welcome. I am in my first week of Lipotrim also and i also have about 5 stone to loose. I find taking it a day at a time will help and if you feel like eating, like i have, log on here and read how great others are doing. It has really helped me to keep going and want to stay 100%.
Best of luck

Hi neem and ann81,

Welcome to both of you and best of luck on your individual journeys!

Youve both done the hard thing and thats walkin in to the chemist/pharmacist! It is hard at first but like everyone will tell you on hear that just stick with it and think about fitting in them new jeans, going on holiday and not hiding behind a towel or just meeting mr/mrs right with your fantastic new figures! I personally have found that adding excersize to the mix really does help shift the lbs i do several cardio sessions a week and it really does help, obviously stay away from heavy weights as muscle is 3 times heavier than fat, just keep it light to start with and youl soon be doing marathons etc

Everyone also has there own opinion on the shakes/flapjacks etc me personally i love the strawberry/vanilla/choco shakes with some crushed ice :D and i also quite like the peanut flapjacks....dont even ask me about the chicken soup :spit:! Nasty is not the word ha! Also everyone and there dog will tell you to drink tonnes of water! it cant be stressed enough try to spread it out throughout the day aswell rather than drinking 3-4 litres in the evening and nothing through the day!

You will proberbly have difficult days and all you have to do is log on hear and look at the other members storys and incredible weight loss and it will give you a boost for sure!

Anyway all the best to the pair of you and watch as them lbs drop of!

You have done the hard part and that is making the decision to get started. Keep drinking water throughout the day as it really helps with the hunger. You need to be realisitic about giving your body time to adjust to the new regime. You will have down days but just focus on the good losses you will have each week.
lots of luck!

Hello all, thank you for your kind words :) Today is my 3rd day; so 1st & 2nd were pretty tough. I was very hungry, scared to move (luckily it was weekend) and pretty grumpy. I also thought about food all the time...... Hm, it really does seem now that I'm a comfort eater, although I would have never realised that had it not been for lipotrim.

I woke up today feeling pretty good, in good mood with quite a good energy. Apart from feeling a bit dizzy, I feel fairly fine. I think for me this diet will be very much about psychological change, more then anything else. Naturally I can't wait to get my pre-fat body back :)

I do have a couple of questions from more seasoned lipotrim dieters. I was wondering how can I ensure that I don't end up with flabby skin? I am fat literally all over, don't have any odd shaped body parts ;-) LOL - I hope that you know what I mean! So I basically don't want to end up with flabby skin all over......

When did you start exercise & what did you do? I'm thinking about starting calanetics again; I used to love that exercise when I was younger. Also a bit of yoga. I have a very bad bag and anything like running and strenuous exercise would be completely out of question for me, I think....

Also, I seem to feel very hot; not sure if it's because it's generally hot, or somehow linked with the diet.

Are you taking any supplements, and if yes, what are they? I normally take hair, skin multivitamin, and also calcium, zinc, B complex and vegetarian omega 3 (I've run out of omega few days ago so haven't had any since). I'd love to take more supplements as I really don't want to mess up my already minerals starved body (I'm vegetarian and have been diagnosed with celiac disease 6 months ago) so would love to know whether you're taking anything.

What are you doing in terms of putting cream/oil on to keep skin more elastic, and also, are you doing anything to prevent hair loss? I've bought hair oil from Indian shop as I'm really scared of loosing tons of hair....

And lastly, do you feel dizzy, and if yes, what do you do? It's a bit unnerving and perhaps that's why I felt afraid to actually move much yesterday.

Thank you very much. I have my first weight in on Friday so still 4 days to go :) I really hope once I get into ketosis this will get easier as this diet is really a true shock to the system.

Hi Neem,
Glad you are finding it a little easier.
I've not started any rigorous exercise as of yet, but I think you are best getting the first one or two weeks out of the way first as your energy levels will be down. It seems people on here say just gently build up your exercise and listen to your body. I really over did it in my first week helping my friend move house.
I don't think you should have too much lose skin, but I believe that you can massage cream into problem areas like the stomach to help with the elasticity in the skin.
I'm not sure that you are meant to be taking any extra supplements as the actual LT shake contains all that you require. I would ask your pharmacist on that one.
I sometimes get dizzy if I get up too quick, but it doesn't happen that often, just take it easy.
I get weighed on friday too - exciting day hey! Look foward to seeing how you are doing. Good Luck!

Hello all, just a quick update - today is my 5th day and apart from the dizzy/foggy spells and occasional hunger pangs, that go hand in hand with rumbling tummy, I'm fine. I know I'm in ketosis since my GP gave me ketostix today and I tested one couple of hours ago - it's pink now. I think I went into ketosis after the 3rd day, as since then I can't sleep, have quite a funnily elevated mood and have started to feel oddly cold. I had terribly steel-like taste in my mouth since the day one so I think that's only because of the shakes and I couldn't use it to determine the ketosis state. I did feel quite angry this morning, which was odd, but I guess it was just because I haven't eaten so my body and mind were rebelling. Thank God it has passed after midday :) So all in all everything seems to be working as it should.

I went to see my GP, firstly to let him know about this diet, and today to sort out something unrelated and also ask him for ECG. I'll have it done on Friday, which is fab, as it will put my mind at rest around any hidden arrhythmia. He's also explained how to spot gallstones problems (which I have asked him about as they are apparently common with any rapid weight loss) and he also talked to me about how to ensure that I have 4 litres of water (not only 2.5-3 as I am having right now), exercise very lightly (mainly by walking) after the first week, take my mind off the diet by doing something I enjoy and generally keep busy. I'll also speak to him in a few weeks time regarding seeing a well qualified dietician (perhaps even a specialist, since I have celiac disease) as the last thing I'll want is to put back whatever weight I lose on lipotrim. I forgot to ask him for a blood test for vitamins, calcium & electrolytes levels, so I'll leave it now for a few weeks and then ask him.

I now feel much more in control as I've researched the diet, got lost of advice from my pharmacist (who seems brilliant so far), spoke to couple of nurses and also the GP and have some health tests done at the beginning of the diet. This makes me feel much better about the whole thing because no matter how much I want to loose weight, after having few health worries, I'm quite conscious of things I do with my body. My mum and dad are also very supportive and speak with me every day, so that's great :)

Ok, I'm gonna take my Nytol now, have already put some fresh mint to steep it in a bottle of Volvic overnight for a lovely refreshing drink tomorrow, and am gonna have a quite nice vanilla shake on ice with some fabulous coffee - Illy (decaf though - get too jittery on a normal coffee).

Good night to you all and thank you for your advice. & naturally all the best to you with all your dieting :)

Hello guys, I just had my first weight in. Yep, would have loooooved to loose a stone ;-) *who wouldn't* but it's still apparently good - nearly 4kg gone. Now....just need to sort out how to update my chart ;-)

Symptoms are going away too, apart from feeling a bit dizzy I have more energy then normal. Just need to sort out my constipation - apparently I must go to loo every single day as otherwise all the toxins and dead cells my body is producing will stay in me...which isn't good!!!!

So, take care all of you and see you here soon :) xoxo
