New member been with slimming world a month x

hi my names rikki im a mum off 2 an sick of feeling unattractive! lol

ive been with slimming world a month an so far lost 1st 4lbs.. im joining the gym this weekend an just wanted some advise on whether it will affect my weigh loss.. as ive been told it turns fat into muscle which weighs more im very confused thanks x x

Hey there! Working out at the gym will affect your weight loss, help you achieve a body shape you're happier with and more importantly help to make you healthier and happier. Muscle and fat are two different things, one doesn't turn into the other. Some people find that when they exercise initially their muscles grow and yes they are heavier, however you will burn fat. Stronger muscles help you burn fat for longer - even after you've left the gym! There may be a short term impact on your weight (you'll probably stall rather than gain) but it will even out long term.
