New start with stone and half to lose

Hi guy. Looking for some advice/your opinions. I am 5ft3 and currently 10st 4. My aim is to get to roughly 9stone. Just wondering if people think ww is good for this amount of weight loss. I know when u have more to lose u lose more at the start than people with less to lose do people with similar amounts to lose as me find it a good diet?? Lauren xx

Im the same, trying to lose 1st 7lbs. I was doing sw, it worked well when I had more weight to lose.
But now I'm sts most of the time, so I have just changed to ww. Lost 3lbs in my first week. This week I have sts, my leader said that I should expect it be be harder and I should aim for a 1lb loss each week.
I have also been told I should call target at 9st, but I dont wont to do that because my bmi would only just be under 25.
I dont know how well ww will work, but I will give you an update on my weight next thurs. Really hope I lose something! x x

Yeh I did slimming world too and I liked it but I don't eat enough veg for it. Think I'll do better counting all my points. I'm gonna judge my target more on my clothes fitting and how I feel. I need my bmi down too tho. Gonna get exercising more too been lazy recently. I just seem to have so little will power just now and I was never like that xx

Glad to hear that you'll be back exercising. Shed off those calories and you will never go wrong hun.

Honestly I used to be obsessed with gym went all the time but then my wee heart got broken and I just got lazier and lazier. Just bought rollerblades (don't laugh) got two 4 months puppies to walk and rejoined gym :) shame my holiday is now only 4.5 weeks away xx

Maybe that's were I'm going wrong. I walk about 12 miles a week (when the children are at school) but walking is not intensive.
Maybe I need to shock my body with something else?
Rollerblading sounds fun, but I'm not good at it. Good luck with ww hope that it works well for you x x

Yes I do :) I'm the same height as you and have been doing WW since January 5th this year. I started at 11st 2.5 lbs and am now 9 st 8.5 lbs. I want to be 9st so even though I'm at goal (9st 7.5 lbs) I'm still sticking with it. I lost just over what you want (I lost 23 lbs) so I would say go for it :)
I haven't had any massive losses and so has been quite slow; mine average out at 0.5 a week but if you ignore my few gains, it's around 1 lb a loss.

i am the same height as you, i started at 11 stone in january.... had 4 months off restarted at 10.5 and am currently 10.1.... i want to be 9stone. if you stick to it religously then it works trust me!!... i find if i do as mch exercise it helps with my weight loss and my leader told me because i havent got much to loose then i will only have 1-2lbs anyway but im okay with that coz id rather do it slowly and keep it off, if you have any prob just ask :)

Aw that's good to know it does work then!! Did my shopping today and have stuck to it today. I do fine until weekend but hoping this time I've got the right mentality for it and the app for iPhone is great. Was out at weekend and the pics that were taken depressed me so hoping that spurs me on. Good luck this week everyone xx
