New to Minimins and starting CD

Hi Everyone

I am new to Minimins and little confused by it all at the moment lol!

Starting CD tomorrow for the first time and would love to hear from other people doing the same. I've always done WW but cannot bear to count another point!

How is everyone finding it? xx

Hi good luck in your journey, best advice is make sure you listen to your counsellor!! and make sure you follow the step by step maintenance guides, thats where i messed up the first time, if you follow the steps, it will bring back up you metabolism!!

It works, you will feel so motivated in 2 weeks, when you wont believe the scales!!

Hi nette and welcome I am new too and in my first week too although had a bad week so far but nothing to do with the diet. Started on Friday. Rushed into hospital on Saturday with gusto bug. Allowed home last night. And backon cd today
I am loving it

Hi good to hear form you all. Well I'm only half way through my first day and I have to say I don't really enjoy the shakes but so far are leaving me feeling full. This morning I had a cappuccino shake and it was awful!! Banana one for lunch which wasn't too bad. What are you all having? Think I will struggle with the shakes more than the hunger lol. Please tell me it gets better x

Hi nette, I am feeling loads better now thank you, I had a strawberry shake for breakfast and soup for lunch. Then fruit of ferret shake for tea and mint choc shake made warm just before bed,,, I really don't like the original porridge tasted so salty,,
I am here if you ever want to chat.

Nette, yes i have lost 11.5lbs in my first week :happy036:

However, I have low expectations for the remainder of my CD weight loss journey. I'm hoping to lose a minimum of 3lbs per week. Any less than that & I'll be cross!

In answer to your query regarding shakes, I only drink the choc mint & cappuccino shakes. Choc orange is also nice. I like all of the tetras (this is what I have for lunch at work). I am looking forward to having the bars next week as they are super yummy!

I can't stand the porridge and the soups are OK. I will probably get some soup when it gets a little chilly.

I think you need to try and establish which flavours you like as we all like different things.

Good luck and remember that you can exchange the ones that you don't like back to your counsellor.

If I lose as much as that I'm gonna scream!!! But like you once the first big loss is done I would like to lose about 3.5lbs a week and looking at other peoples that should be possible. Good Luck x

Hi Hun, I'm on week 5 now and like u found stomaching some of the shakes hard.. One word ICE!! Seriously add it by the bucketful it really makes a difference. Also didn't enjoy anything til I got a blender.. I had on from tesco 6 pounds worth it makes a big difference. So good luck, if I can do it anyone can xxxxx

LOL @ Dordoy.

The only shakes that I can stomach is chocolate mint & cappuccino. I find all the others a little sickly.

I do like all of the tetra bricks though & I'm counting down to Monday when I can start having the bars!!!!

Hey hope youre getting on well in the diet. I like the strawb shake with lots of ice and water blended in a glass, to me it tastes like nesquik... yum
Im finding the shakes and soups quite nice and as its my frst week im hoping for that big loss of water before the real weight loss can start kicking in. My only prob is being a uni student and all the parties that are coming up soon :p

after a couple of days you will feel alot better and have more of an idea of what you like to eat. the only thing im finding hard is the small portions and ideas for my evening meal ( as i have shakes and sou for breakfast and lunch) def get a blender you will then enjoy the shakes alot more. although i know what you mean about the lumps haha

Hi everyone! Day 5 now and I'm getting used to the shakes they dont seem as bad now. Actually feeling really good :) I'm finding it easier than I thought! Hope everyone is doing OK.

Andy parties are gonna be hard, but just remember it's not forever! Keep thinking of your goal.

Totally agree with everything you've said. I didn't have a blender that worked and thought a good whisk with a fork would do the trick as well as hitting all the lumps with the back of a spoon. Didn't work! And ice. Absolutely. I had a butterscotch shake warm and lumpy which was about the worst thing I've ever tasted.

Well I'm at the end of Day 6 and it's going well, only thing is the way it makes your mouth feel! I assume that doesn't change? I'm drinking loads and keep cleaning my teeth. How does everyone else cope with it? x
