New to SW and this time I need some serious help!

Hi Everyone,

Ok so this will be my third attempt in 12 months to shift the pounds!

I have all the books for SW at home (about 4 years old though, has much changed?).

Basically, I cant afford to become a fully fledged member at the moment and was wondering if any of you lovely people could give me a quick over view on what I can do and what the plan is all about?

I know I sound terrible as you all probably pay your subscriptions but I really dont have the cash and really want to loose some weight.

I currently work out 3-5 times a week so I know that I need to get my eating habits in order....if anyone can help a desperate chubster I will be eternally grateful!!!

Thanks a million!

Natalie

Theres a sticky thread at the top that will give you an overview of the plans. Stuff has changed, weights for HE's have changed, and theres the Extra Easy plan too, if your books are 4 years old they probably won't have that in them.

Thanks Ally!!!

So a little confession, I dont really know my way around the website!

How do I find the sticky thread?

Thanks so much and looking at your stats, you're an inspiration too!!!!

These are brilliant, they really helped me when I was starting out - good luck xx

Those threads above have everything you need to get started and if you have any further questions you can always ask. Don't worry about doing it on your own at home, loads of people around here do and no one minds. I've done it on my own in the past but I really need the class as I'm far too lenient on myself!

Good luck with your weight loss!

I'm doing it from home and have just started this Tuesday, so recent for me too Natalie, my info is all from 2010! Everyone is lovely and friendly and you will get tons of support I am sure. Good Luck! xx
Thanks for the links Halcyon :)

I'm doing it from home too, but my info books are from the 90's when my mum did SW!! Hoping I can get most of the info I need on here! Good Luck! :)

if your worried about the books being hmm old suggest you go join your nearest group just to get upto date books and to explain it all, which would work out cheaper even compared to ebay prices lol

i have done it that way and the use of this forum keeps me upto date on changes ect, it can be done alone my only advice would be for you to get a friend or even your hubby ect to weigh you in weekly, my hubs has kept me motivated by showing me in watering cans ect of what ive lost as its gone and recently the visual of my 12 year old daughter jeez i cant even lift her up lolol

weekly groups are not for me and there is many on this site that don't go to group for many reasons and are doing great alone!

all the cash i have saved has kept me in decreasing sized clothing too! size 26 to a size 14 jeans!!!

WOW! Elleandca! Well done you!!!

Thanks for all the info and support!

Thanks for the links Halycon!

You all seem so kind and motivating!!!

Currently munching on pasta and roasted veg....desparetly need some lunch ideas! hahahaha
