Hi, my name is Paula and I have been dieting for pretty much all my life, on and off, I guess like most peeps on here?!! Done WW with success before but also tried SW and do think that SW is or can be, a healthier option of the two so am trying SW again. Not going to classes but writing down everything and hoping that forward planning helps me!

Am hoping that using this forum will encourage me to not be fat and forty any longer, thank you x

Welcome Paula I have truly fell off the wagon and I am hoping that I can get refocused usually go to class but only get weighed and cant stay so was wondering if you would like a buddy so that we can keep each other motivated

I will frighten you even more originally from south Yorkshire lol. Think the idea is that we can keep each other motivated if one of us is struggling we can also private message each other will just double check how to do that xx

Hi dont think you can receive private messages yet with you being new to the forum it wont take long think you just need to post more times.

We could set up an online food diary to help each other I started one a while back think its Owls food diary have a look.

Which plan are you doing I am trying to mix it up abit and do all of them.

Do you do exercise I joined one of the threads on here and it really did help me though I havent done it for a while.

Hi again Karen, will check out your diary if I can, I have to post a silly number of times before I can have friends - might have a mad replying session lol! I am doing EE, never fancied the red & green day idea tbh, I work 4 days a week and it did seem to fit in better last year when I tried SW. On the exercise front I do like to run but broke my toe 3 weeks back so can't think about that for a couple of weeks at least, am toying with buying the Wii zumba game.........am going to check it out.

Two days in and I feel I am doing ok, how sad does that sound after only 2 days, but I have a poor track record when it comes to dieting! Am working rest of week so have tried to plan lunches so that I don't pig out, plus got lots of alpen lights, mullerlights, ryvita minis etc etc, and fruit coming out of my ears.

Oh, and I am a Leeds girl originally......lol x

Hi I am not going to class and have gained a wee bit with eating rubbish again so as of today I am back on track and came back to this forums as not been her since January. I am hoping that having the support and ideas on here will kick me back into it as am planning out my menu again and going to stick to it. Hols is 5 weeks this Fri so need to get back to my target for this. Only got few lbs to get off but they are the hardest ones lol. Good luck and we can do it :)

Hi Karen, sorry for the late reply - can't get to grips with this forum, couldn't find you again! Need to randomly post on every thread to get myself up to 40 posts so then I can be part of the forum "proper" lol.

Had 2 really good days, manage better at work tho tbh as need to plan what to take so am not distracted so easily there. Tried the egg "fried" rice last night and really enjoyed it, and filling pasta tonight so far so good. Just planned online shop & family meals for next week too, am starting off determined, lets hope it stays that way eh?

How's your week going? Hope you are ok and keeping hunger-pang free??? Do you have a goal time frame at all? I am on hols on 28th Aug so that gives me 10 weeks, so thats mine really. When are you doing your weigh in? I am first thing monday am before work, maybe we could synchronise lol x

Good to hear from you thought Id put you off lol. I found this forum very hard going to start with but its just a case of getting used to it. When you are on the home page if you click on user cp it will bring up all the threads you have commented on that makes it easier to start with.

I have been doing wi at meeting on a Tues night but now wi at home can do it Mon morning before work, might help me keep on track at the weekends.

Totally agree with the planning if I plan the week I am ok and eat more than when I just grab something quick which is usually rubbish.

I have done well this week really focussed long may it last lol

Weekend!

Hi Karen,

What have you got planned this weekend? Any challenges lol? We are off to a wedding this afternoon but its quite a way out of town so I have offered to drive, I figured that stops me being tempted by alcohol, especially if the sun is shining, because I can be easily led in such circumstances!!! Its my husbands' boss getting married and I hardly know her or anyone else who is going so normally would probably have wanted a drink or two to relax me, so am hoping people are nice! Its an outdoor thing with a hog-roast so I am going to eat something filling before we go then ?try and keep off the bread when we get there.

How have you been getting on last few days? I must be more determined this time because I really have been ok, desperate to get weighed but haven't yet, can't wait for Monday to find out if working. 5 good days so am defo sticking to it sat & sun then will hope for the best on mon.

Did have some emergency choc last night (4 chunks dairy milk) but hadn't had syns all day and enjoyed it, normally have a bar each day, such a pig I am!

Wooooooo hoooooooo!!!!! Well, up for work early and lost 3lbs!! Am very impressed, plus spurred (?correct spelling???) on to keep it going. Karen & Biker, hope to hear from you soon, good luck you two x x x
